Looks nice. Need dyno plots though to even consider it. For that kind of money a bms ecu would be a better investment.

Looks good but the stock intake is so well designed I can't imagine improving it much.

In reference to a comparison to the BMS intake:
"Not sure on the BMS unit. I looked at his website and his dyno sheet says around 8hp and it looks like he got that at 5,000rpm. We got our 9hp at around 3,200 rpms. So there is similar dyno figures but you have some differences in design (sealed vs. open), filter design and then you have where the power goes on the dyno. Just depends on your goals for the vehicle. "

Since someone brought it up BMS is hard at work on their F30 intake as well. They are probably still at least a couple months out though. I'll post some photos when I'm allowed to.

I know they are targeting the same price as their E90 N55 intake though, around $199 retail.

Looks great....but again, since it's sealed, looks like gains are PURELY coming from a conical air filter versus the stock flat filter??

I wonder if this would work with the PPK tune? Though seems pointless since BMW re-fabb'ed their intake for the tune...curious to hear reviews.
