3M Crystalline for 4 series coupe.

The local tint shop quoted me 3M Crystalline (all around) for 4 series coupe for $599. Is it about the right price?

Will the police be tolerated at 40 (3M Crystalline) ?

Thanks!

If it included CR70 for the front windshield, i'd say its a very good price. I don't think you are over-paying anyways.
Edit: i have color stable (cs)35 all around and cr70 on the front. Love how much of heat is rejected by the crystalline but price was too steep for me to go all around with it.
Color stable is still a good choice anyways.

That's twice the max I would consider paying for a top quality tint. There are other brands - Llumar www.llumar.com, FormulaOne www.formulaone.com, HuperOptik www.huperoptik.com.

I also have the 3M crystalline and I'm very happy with it. Paid $599 for it (5 windows and top stripe on windshield).

I wanted the 3M mainly for the heat rejection, and it is really outstanding.

No hassles yet.

I paid more for CR70 all around except windshield, plus sunroof. Great film.

I had 3M Crystalline 40 all around and 3M Crystalline 70 on the windshield. Set me back around $900. Be aware that the Crystalline 40 has a slight purple tint to it at certain angles. I love the heat reduction, but wish there wasn't that slight purple hue.

I have cr70 as well on all except windshield and I really like the heat rejection and love the not blacked out look.

How long did it take for your back window to fully dry out? Mine is at two weeks and I still see some patches of haze in between film and window. Doors are crystal clear.

I have the exact same setup, but cost me $700. My shop was having a "sale" that day.

My CR40 has a distinct bronze hue. It's probably accented by my beige interior, but at the tint shop against a white background it was pretty clear the natural tone is bronze.

I've seen photos of CR40 with a black interior and it definitely didn't look bronze at all in that application (more gray), so the interior color has a lot to do with how it looks on a particular car.

The shops around my area offer Crystaline at $600; seems like a decent price for great film. I personally went with the SunTek Carbon series since I was doing other stuff and didn't want my bill to go over $600 haha~
