CAS/3020/ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL IESSEN does not apply to F30's. F30's don't have CAS modules, its all in FEM_BODY. HU CIC/3000/Macro_fds enables sport mode configuration (drive train/suspension change) in non-sports steering/non-VSS equipped cars where it's not enabled by default. ICMQL/3000/LCMKOD_B_SPORTLENKUNG enables sport+ mode. I think this is the same as sport mode, but also turns off DTC/DSC. |

Thanks Frogman!
Need some more help, So when I check my version I am at F020-13-03-503. I get an error when trying to read FEM_BODY, and I don't even see HU_CIC on the list? I'm using ESYS 3.22.5 with 49.1_psdzdata, what do I need to do to be able to code FEM_BODY and see HU_CIC on the list? I selected F020-13-03-502 from the list when connecting, and coded under BKOMBI the BMW_LOGO M performance from AG to mpm, doesn't seem to have worked, and also ACSM SeatBeltReminder_SBR_beifahrer disabled passenger reminder, but haven't tested yet no passenger to sit there, Did it do anything wrong or mess anything up since I'm on -503 and selected 502? |

If we knew every single variable that changes when switching from 6NH to 6NK, we could have just manually changed them without changing the FA. We don't, so the easiest and safest way to get the settings changed is to change the FA (temporarily) and VO code HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA. As Kon says, the ECU's run from the FDL values, so there is no conflict. Quote:
If the FA matches, FDL coding changes you made will not cause programming to fail because after uploading new firmware, they just VO the modules back to their FDL defaults anyway. That will simply undo any of the FDL changes you made. You can reapply them when you get the car back. I'd like to know if you FA was actually written when we VO coded your ECUs. Can you connect your laptop to the car and re-read the FA? Then see if 6NK is there in the SALAPA elements. I don't think it will be there (it should still be 6NH), but I guess it's possible that VO coding with the updated VO also forced the FA to get written. We didn't check that when we coded your car; we did everything in one "session". Please let us know what's there. |

With just the VO option code changes and the original Production Date, and no hardware changes, you should be alright to leave it alone for dealer programming.

My guess is that you need 2.49.2. The easiest way to get it is to PM Shawn. You won't see HU_CIC unless you have navigation. Without navi, your head unit is called HU_ENTRY. Do you have that? If you don't have navi, you probably don't have the extended cluster, so changing BMW_LOGO will not have any affect. Is your instantaneous MPG gauge a physical needle, or an LCD image? If it's a needle, you don't have the extended cluster. I can't tell from your note about the seat belt reminder, did that coding work? |

How do you code either: Remember last setting or default sport mode ? So I don't have to change from Comfort to Sport everytime?
I can't seem to find it via search. |

Has anyone had the issue where they are unable to Read Code Data from HU_CIC ? I keep getting the 'CADF not found' message when I right click on the green file under HU_CIC folder. I was able to code everything else but the modifications that are in the HU_CIC module. Thanks !

Ahh okay -PSdzdata is 49.1 and I'm not too sure of the I-Step version. It is a 4/2013 build. I assume I have to wait until the the new Psdz version is released ?

So you can set Eco Pro Mode as the default start option, but can't make it default to Sport Mode?? Damn that sucks!
Oh and I know your busy Shawn, so thank you for all your efforts in helping the coding noobs in advance, but when you can check your PM's, I was requesting the newer data files so I can code on my version Thanks!! Check this out by the way, I got my booklet ready for coding! Last edited by kromix; 05-03-2013 at 01:18 PM.. |
