Hard to compare while I'm here at work, but looks mostly unchanged from last year. Addition of M Sport package, of course.

That's great. Thanks! I just heard the BMW promo on the radio again for the factory credits and it looks like its extended till End of June. Anyone know if this would apply to ordering a 2013 also?

Thats what I'm confused about. I was told it'll apply only if you pick up ur car by 31st of July so there's no way to get a 2013 model with the current promos...

Kinda weird if you ask me.

Anyone know what the lease rates are for 2013 or is it too early?

A just for fun pricing of a 2013 335i:

$51, 200 - 335i
$4500 - Premium Package
$2300 - M Sport Package
$800 - Estoril Blue paint
$500 - 19" rim upgrade
$850 - BMW Assist w/ enhanced bluetooth
$450 - Sirius radio

$60,600

+ HST ($7878) = $68, 478
+ approx $2000 for freight and BS fees - $70, 478.

Hell of a deal, right?....it will be interesting to see what invoice pricing on this vehicle would look like. Wow.

$71,000???

Wow! That's ummmm....quite high...LOL

I'm not sure why they've increased the pricing so much...the M Sport should've been like $1500 and the premium package should also be less.

All I can say is people are still gonna buy this...

Yeah 71 grand. I mean...there's so many vehicles you can buy for 70K....it's nuts. Even if the stuff ppl post about Paying 500 or 1000 over invoice is true, you'd still be paying mid 60s on this one

Come September, I will look long and hard at the S4....not that it's a bargain, but if 60K is gonna be the price point for a 300hp German sedan, might as well look at all of em

For myself I'll pass on the premium package, BMW assist and Sirius radio and just focus on the essential parts. That should come out to around 61k. Still quite a lot, but not as bad as the full package above.

Does anyone notice that the original 18" M Sport rim option looks weird? The rear wheels are actually 19"!

Ouch, but isn't this what a comparable S4 would cost ?

Depends. A base S4 will start at $53,100 for 2013, so more than a base
335i. But if you get tHE s4 Premium, it starts at $59,400 but includes 19s, Navigation, Bang and Olufsen, Homelink and Sirius, which means it starts at a price that's similar to the 335i when you add all the options.

If you bought a base S4 Premium with no extra options, it'd be less than this fully optioned 335i M Sport.

Anyway I think it's worth the due diligence. For 2012, the S4 had no engine noise and didn't push me into the seat when I floored it. Driving it, I knew I was going fast becasue the speedo told me I was, but it didn't feel as dynamic as the 335i in sport mode.

Also, the Audi has no comfort mode or ECO Pro, so if it guzzles, it always guzzles.

Thanks Jtuds. Great analysis

I have narrowed it down to those two. S4 Premium and 335 M Sport Line.

Have to say I still love my G37XS but time for a change.

Out of curiosity and boredom and the fact that I was in the office till 3am last night, I spent the better part of today pricing out vehicles on different websites.

I was surprised to find that if you price out a G37x or a IS350 AWD and add all the options to make it similar to a well equipped 3-series (so in Lexus this means adding F-sport suspension and exhaust), the BMW actually comes out a little cheaper.

In doing this of course I assumed that the stock suspension and exhaust in a Bimmer is already sportier than what comes stock in a Lexus or Infiniti. And on the Infiniti I added the options that come standard in BMW even though I don't care about them (like interior lighting for 500 bucks).

This makes me feel a bit better about the cost of the 3er.

Although we have a IS250 with no sport suspension, yo can get one pretty much loaded for under 50k...and it is pretty damn sporty.

Yeah .... the way things are going with gas prices, and the fact that I want to keep my next car awhile, have me putting more weight on fuel economy than I ever thought I would.

My wife LOVES the Lexus, which frankly has me worried

We live in Ottawa so need AWD and the only model that appeals to me is the GS 350 F Sport. Anyone have any thoughts on that ?

Chicks like Lexus for some reason...I think it's because they like to look at all the pretty leather and wood but they forget about the driving...or dont care about it. The new GS350 is apparently a good car. Go to Road and Track or Motor Trend or Car and Driver, one of them gave it a pretty thorough review and was impressed. Basically they said it is still a luxury car but it is sportier than previous Lexuses.

By the way....I am in London and we get just as much snow as Ottawa and maybe more. I am going to pass on the AWD. Because we are in a snow belt, our ploughs are on top of the snow right away, and I live on a bus route which helps. BMWs are so well balanced that careful driving and good snow tires will get you around fine in the winter in a RWD. But again...wifes like to see AWD/xdrive/4matic/quattro written on things....as if it magically will make them better drivers.

LOL. Yeah.

It's like the Curb episode when Larry is a car salesman

Customer: I notice this is a GT and the brochure says there's a model called the GTS. Now what is the difference between the GT and the GTS?

Larry: Okay, the GTS is "guaranteed tremendous safety."

Customer: So, without the "S," it's just "guaranteed tremendous?"
