for those that are tall, or carry your height in your torso

I have had the F30 for 2 months and I drive around 3500-4000mi a month. I have since learned that the seats are a horrible design and not built for those with height or carry that height in the torso.

For some reason they have curved the top of the seat out instead of leaving it flat all the way to the top. What this does for those that the thoracic spine area hits right in the middle of the top of the seat (it hits me right in the middle of the shoulder blades) is hunches us over and creates horrible neck and shoulder pain.

I knew the 30min test drive would come back and bite me.

The E90 335i and M3 seats are flat in this area and it didn't cause an issue.

I will either have to install the F80 seats in my car (and look like a poser) or just buy and F80 and drive it 4000miles a month .

Sounds like a plan. Good timing since gas is cheap.

Im close to 6'7" and have had 3 intense muscle spasms in my lower back since getting my F30.
One happened immediately before I had to drive over an hour somewhere.
It was a terrible driving experience to say the least.

But, with that said, Ive never really had any issues in the thoracic area.
And after working the lumbar setting on the seats quite a bit I finally found a spot that helps the lower back area.

Is it comfortable on long drives, no, not even close.
I would hate to have to drive as much as you do.
But at least its not killing me anymore.

I get the spasms right above my right kidney. My back and neck are so screwed up though, I'm thankful to feel anything back there.

my sport seats are the biggest complaint I have on this car (F36). they simply aren't comfortable.

anyone who says they're comfortable needs to go compare them to the competition.

Thats a panic attack if you're being serious.

Sounds like the list of possible side effects from a TV drug commercial.
