Our dealer told us that the car is at the port, and they will be able to deliver it to us within one business day after they receive it. Our dealer is only about 40 minutes from the port, and based on our experience they will have the car within three business days after today at the latest. It's very possible the car will arrive at the dealer tomorrow if not Saturday.

I ordered mine before Sandy came. I don't think I'll ever be able to do this ever again. Had no idea my car was being made in SA. The waiting is pretty excruciating. My dealership is about 30 mins from the port..... So I'm crossing my fingers for Saturday (though most likely not). At this point, I'm hoping everything is the way I have ordered. I heard about people waiting this long and the models came in and it was not what they ordered! yikes.

Manhattan. I'd be really happy if my car is ready by Sat, since my CA doesn't work on Sun/Mon. But Tuesday will be fine lol.

I'm about a 4-5 hour drive from you, Tsuyoi & Kng87. Do you guys know how long once a dealer recieves a car it takes to prep it? i.e. remove shipping blocks, protective coverings, do you have to load the NAV?

My dealer was telling me they can prep a car in half a day. Don't know about the nav.

Just out of curiosity, when you call BMW, what status do they give you? For me, it's still "your car is in transit"?

Actually, now the automated line says my car is at the port awaiting shipping.

Apparently, my car failed customs and was sent back to Germany.

I just called BMW NA (1-800-831-1117) and my status is "your vehicle is at port awaiting a shipping vessel" Looks like my f30 also failed the custom inspection and was kicked out of the USA

Automated tracking is kinda retarded like that, once it detects that your car is in a port, that's the standard message.

I'm just refreshing the WW tracking page every few hours to see when my car's finally processed through VPC. Interestingly enough it's pretty behind, last status is still loaded onto vessel at Bremerhaven.

Hope I get an email/call from my CA sometime today telling me my car's ready tomorrow! *fingers crossed*
