Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to do a 6wa retrofit but I’m not seeing a lot of guidance for HU_ENTRY folks. I don’t have a MOST cable attached to my kombi and I’m pretty sure I don’t have one in my car at all since I have the standard hi-fi and no NAV. I saw that the MOST cable is needed in order to have Esys read the kombi and to do so, the easiest way is to upgrade my HU. I already did so with an android HU that has Apple CarPlay installed inside of it. It does have a MOST connection so would that work? Is there any other steps I’m missing here or anything else I’m not understanding? Thanks!!

You need the MOST connection between the HU and the Kombi to make the 6WA do its magic.

The coding of HU and Kombi is done with E-sys and the bus used is the K_Can2

Thanks for the reply! Do I have to update to NBT or can I just attach the MOST cable between them?

If you do a TAL calculation in E-sys you will see if you need to change the HU

I also have base cluster and thinking of upgrading. I already did the NBT/EVO ID6 upgrade with larger screen and NAV. Does the MOST cable go between the cluster to those round ports in the large interlocking connector on the back of the radio? (Basically two "pin" round connectors).

Yes the MOST bus (fiber optic cabel) is the two round ports on the main large connector on the HU

you must enter your VIN in the odometer, and the mileage in the odometer must be lower than in the car
