Leasing help - 335xi!!

So my 335xi is arriving within 2 weeks or so (already on the ship somewhere in the Atlantic).

I'm seeing alot of lease deals for 335's in the high 500s (< $600/month) and trying to see how I can get there.

Here are my details - let me know how much I should be paying per month.

MSRP $51795
Capital Negotiated Cost $47935 (includes incentives - this is the final price)
MF 0.0013
Residual: 58% (36 month lease)
Acquisition Fee: $725
Documentation Fee: $399 (They tell this is non-negotiable)
Taxes: 3.17% (in Virginia we pay tax on WHOLE value of car, ugh!)
Tax/title/fees: $67
$0 down (except for whats required like 1 sec deposit + 1st month lease)

There is an option to lower by MF by 0.00007 for every $750 I put as a security deposite up to 7x max for a total of 0.00049 lowering of MF.

With these numbers, can someone tell me what is a good leasing monthly cost to pay? I ran it on some calculators but would love a 3rd party check from you all. I'm trying to get the monthly cost below $600 if possible.

Thanks.

Seems your only option is the multiple security deposits unless you can negotiate a lower purchase price, but you'd have to be willing to walk away from a car you've waited all this time for to do that (or at least bluff that you will). You probably should be getting a bigger discount than that. What credits are in that price? Did you get BMW loyalty and holiday?

Both holiday and owner loyalty are both included, so final price is $85 above invoice. I guess with these credits, I should have negotiated $500 above invoice then taken the credits for a net of $1250 below invoice?

I could bluff walking away but obviously don't *really* want to do this since I've been waiting for this car. If I already pre-negotiated the price of the car, do you think the dealer would budge to sell the car?

At the end of day, I'll pay what I have to pay, just wondering if my calculations are wrong with all the numbers. I also don't mind MSDs to buy down the MF.

Which dealership in VA?

The most you should pay is $500 over invoice.

Sterling. I know they tend to be more expensive. I tried Fairfax and Passport and they were slightly less expensive (by about $400-600) but since Sterling is about 4 miles from my house, I decided to forego $$ for convenience. I bought my car from Passport last time but I was also living in Arlington at the time.

I did end up with $85 over invoice - but that was with the incentives.

I bought my 335 from BMW of Sterling on 12/02/2012 @ 600 below invoice before incentives. The only incentive I had was the $1000 Holiday Cash so I ended up with $1600 below invoice. Their intial offer was $600 over invoice. I walked out and they upped the incentive. I worked with Jordan S.

My monthly is 590 btw. I did a 39 month lease @ 10k miles a year.
I did max MSDs and 1500 down.
My car is registered in MD so I had to pay 6% tax on the entire vehicle. My MSPRP was 57K.

Thanks for the input - maybe I'll have to go back and threaten to walk. It sounds like you got a way better deal than me. I ended up net $85 over invoice.

In MD it was worth switching from 36 month lease to 39 month since our registration is good for 2 years instead of 1 year like some other states. I wouldn't want to pay an entire years registration for a car I'd only keep 3 months.

However, you are paying 3% less tax than me and your MSPRP is 5-6k lower. Your payment shouldn't be higher than mine

Thanks - your residual is prob 3% higher than mine since your lease is 10k. My lease will be 15k - but all good things to know.

why is your tax rate 3.17%, i thought it was a flat 3% for VA then they hit you up for the semi annual excise tax. I can run numbers for you if youd like, did you make this deal in NOV/DEC? Did you get BMW TEAM USA $1000 incentive (only if your car is xdrive)? FYI the MSRP/INV on the car went up about $300+ in JAN which is when they will pull your invoice and punch your car into dealerspeed. Im sure they will eat that for you though.

They told me tax rate was 3.17% - not sure why they added the .17%.

I made the deal in early December - not familiar with Team USA $1000 - can you fill me in on that one? I only got thr $1000 holiday + $750 owner loyalty. Would love to see if I can get an extra $1000. And yes - my car is xdrive.

Over July Aug BMW ran a test drive for Team USA Olympic promo all over the country where you had to sign up, go to your local dealer and test drive a BMW and or their competitor. They would then email you 2 coupon codes worth $1000, one was for any new 2012/2013 BMW lease or finance through BMW FS by 10/31/12, the second was only for 2013 328xi or 335xi sedan (F30) having to lock in the deal by 1/2/13. They are also transferable to anyone in the household so if someone else went but you buy youd be all good.

Im not an expert on VA taxes, but i always known it to be 3% of full selling price at purchase and then excise taxes periodically.
