2015 320i JB4 Install Questions

I got through the installation with both of the Map/ Tmap sensors, as well as Power/ Ground and CAN wires.

I just wanted to double check that on a 2015 BMW 320i w/ electronic wastegate that I am tucking BOTH the blue patch and black patch wires off the harness away. They are NOT being used... Is that correct?

Furthermore, it sounds like I should be running Map 5 to best suit my 320i/ N20 motor to avoid over boosting? Is this correct and is anything I should watch out for to prevent damage?

@Brenanj1 , you tuck away the blue patch for sure. But for the black patch, I believe that is the flexfuel harness. If it is, plug that also.
Map 5 is self learning. You can use that, then Map 1 also useable.

Thanks. Yeah I plugged black in a day ago (hard to get to) and it seems to be running fine. Probably fueling better since power seems more consistent under hard load from a dead stop.

Do you know anything about map switching on the JB4?

Car just needs to have power, volume down for 5sec, and then volume up to select right?

I've read that the tune won't take affect until car temps are over 160. But I'm assuming setting the map before then is fine? My shifter does give me the "blink" back after I have selected it but sometimes it's dim vs. Being bright.... Not sure that matters?

You can switch the map anytime when the car is power on, whether the engine running or not.
The steps is correct, and brightness wise, it don't matter.
If you have the USB cable, go ahead update it to the latest firmware. It has a new feature where you can have the indicator on the dash.
