Stiffer steering after first service

My car is sep 2013 built (MY14). after my first service today for oil change, the steering definitely felt stiffer on sport mode. Did they do an update on the ECU? I dont see anything on the papers about updating.

Apparently there is newer software that improves the overall steering feel, but I'm not sure when that started rolling out. Did they do an alignment or anything else similar?

I took my car in for a minor recall (drain pipe) 2 month ago, service dept said they updated the software at that time. Steering felt stiffer after the update, but not necessarily better.

It almost feels like artificially induced stiffness. imo the steering feel was perfect before the update. It used to be stiff in sport mode and relaxed in comfort..just the way i like. Now it feels stiff in all modes.

I got my ASS programmed to remember last setting and they updated the software. Steering much better than before especially in comfort. More stable at high speed before it was too light and you almost end up in the wrong lane. Better feedback in all modes.
