28.3 at the moment, around town and brisk A road, not impressed, E92 M3 would do 26 if treated gently, mind you 8.5 on a good day :-) (on track of course )

Wow, that's shocking. Hope it improves for you.

Short cold runs and faster runs seems lower than my e90 330d but long runs and tight engine showed some good potential

45mpg average at the moment but its creeping up as the engine loosens up, I have had it up to 60mpg on a steady run over 30 miles to work though

Its all down to driving style and journey type though so fairly pointless attempting willy waving at mpg figures

Agree, it is mind blowing how something can be so fast yet so frugal. In fact on another forum (not BMW) one thread had a performance vs economy calculation, I worked out what the 330d was and posted that. At the time blew everything away by miles. Performance stat was based on the 0-60 time. I'm sure 335d must absolutely muller everything.

I'm not easily impressed either, I've had many cars over 350 bhp, one over 420bhp

The mid range stonk on this car is hilarious for over taking, mated to that gearbox its just effortless. I'm really enjoying this car, far more than I thought I would

Unless something totally unexpected comes along I'm getting a 435d next time for sure

I love the grunting in paddle shift mode. Just wish they'd make those damn shifters a bit closer to my fingers - it's tiring to hold the steering in a way to consistently have fingers over the shifters...

It would be better if they came to near the edge of the steering wheel more

I'm also enjoying driving with the window down, the range of turbo whistles when both on and off the throttle is quite amusing

A reasonably sedate drive (well it felt it anyway ) up the M6 and M74 from Manchester to Edinburgh for a week at The Fringe gave 52.8 on the trip computer when we left at J15. We took the A701 Scottish Borders scenic route across to Edinburgh which is a great road and gave lots of oppurtunity for exercising the more dynamic aspects of the 330. It was a fabulous drive with big scenery to match. By the time we had arrived at our accommodation, average mpg was down to 48.6 and absolutely delighted with that

320 mile run mostly at 81 cruise but actually a lot of traffic and some country road. Tried keeping it on Eco pro on motorway.

45mpg brim to brim. Sweet!

Signed up to fuelly and put in my fill ups from new. It's showing an average 47.8 mpg which is amazing and pretty close to the computer values I've been watching. There is quite a spread for the F3x 330d on there and it is clear I'm not having as much fun with the engine as others. I promise to reduce that average on this tank

Not just the 'fun' that drops fuel mileage, some people seriously do not know how to drive, so have low figures even driving 'slowly'.

I kind of agree with that. I've been a passenger with some people and they are on and off the brakes such a lot. It must contribute to the variance in tyre and brake pad life that you see on here too.

Yeah totally. I mean i can't resist giving it welly even when cold. If it were mine outright it'd be different I think but as a lease, not sure why I'd contain myself for the 2 years the car will be with me...

For my style of driving I'm pretty pleased with the mpg returns...

my E90 clocked in at 54Mpg at around 80mph, the same journey in a F31 i clocked around 40mpg and 80mph same road and same conditions using comfort drive. If i do the same journey again in the F31 in eco i get .4mpg change.

The F31 for me drinks fuel
