Exclamation Warning Triangle Mount

Does anyone know how the warning triangle mounts in the trunk, such as the european delivery has. I have the assembly from my old car. I see the indentaiton on the trunk lid, but mine mounted on the left side. If I need the brackets for the trunk lid does anyone have the parts numbers. THANKS!!

I gather they're easy to snap in (for installation) or out (to disassemble)? Can't tell if there are any screws on these clamps.

I ask since on an ED, you get a warning triangle and a first aid kit but after it ships they are taken out since they are not U.S. standard. In the brochure it mentions that they may be kept but must be taken out prior to drop-off.

I am wondering the same thing. I will be picking up my F30 next month on ED and am curious about what tool(s) I need to bring to remove the brackets.

Sorry, forgot the screws

Each has 1 screw and a plastic nut they screw into

Dont know if USA cars have the nut in the trunk lid so you may have to add them

Part numbers ( You need 2 of everything )
Bracket "51 49 7 167 548"
Screw "07 11 9 906 876"
Plastic nut "51 71 7 154 520"

So you can have a non-US standard warning triangle in your own car, and can be supplied with a non-standard triangle separately from your car, and presumably you can use a non-US standard triangle in an emergency, but you can't be supplied with a non-US standard triangle WITH your car?

Isn't any triangle better than non?

They also cannot get the Euro First Aid kit

Update

Well, I received the mounts. Everything went great right up to the point of storing the triangle. Apparently the mounts are too small for the triangle that I have. I didn't think they would be a different size for the triangle.

Triangle

The part number I have is 1095457. The cover is blue. I tried ordering one using the part number you gave me. I couldn't find one through BMW channels. I looked on the ECS website and they have them in stock. Just ordered one. We'll see how it goes. As usual, I am greatful for the help.

Found this one:
E90 2009+ one is exactly the same as F30 one
I see there are some people got blue ones, but with the exact same size as the red.
The Blue you had is the larger blue one from the pre-facelift E90

No, its part of the Storage Compartment Package option.

There is a nicer larger net available from the dealers

Do you know if a triangle from 2010 E92 (pre-LCI) will fit F30?

You don't need to remove the bracket, just bring the triangle and first aid kit back with you. That what I did on my ED. Brackets were still there when I got the car.

I think BMW's concern os that anything that is not bolted down in the car can be stolen...

You can buy the warning triangle and case from ECS Tuning:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-original...1y0093055~oes/

And here's the bracket:

I left the brackets attached and hid the triangle and first aid kit behind the wind deflector that stows behind the rear seat back in convertibles. Everything made it to the US just fine.

I find it such a strange stance that BMW NA has chosen to delete the Emergency Triangle and First Aid Kits from the 1 to 7 series vehicles. These are SAFETY features that could save life and limb in an emergency. BMW NA CS claims that because these are NOT required by the US DOT that they have omitted them even though their locations are clearly marked in the trunk/storage area and referenced in the owner’s manuals. To cheapen out on a $50k to $200k car for probably less than $8 worth of plastic and supplies is short-sighted in the least and stupid in all cases.
Air conditioning is NOT required by the US DOT but it's obviously on most cars BMW ships to the US and it doesn't even enhance safety.

It seems like another example of the accounting department tail wagging the BMW brand dog.
It also blemishes the new car delivery experience IMHO. To take delivery of a shiny new (expensive) car bristling with the latest technology, luxury options, and safety features then discovering that the first aid compartment is empty (as well as the special compartment for the triangle also lacking any such item) cheapens the whole initial customer experience. Each time I've taken delivery the dealer rep just shakes his head at the missing items and says their feedback to HQ on this cheap decision goes nowhere.

Come ‘on BMW, stop this nonsense… it makes your corporate decision process look stupid and really these items could enhance safety.
Rant over, thanks!
