335d

Seems to be coming in the summer according to the bimmerpost homepage.

Called the 335d rather than 340d with 313 engine. Xdrive and seems to only mention being for the F30 but perhaps the F31 comes a little later.

How do we find out the 0-60 for this model?

An extrapolated guess:0-62 mph in 4.9 secs.

The twin turbo 313 engine is sublime.

313bhp, 630nm of torque, brutal. But a heavy machine nevertheless. I think F30s figure will be spot on plus I am guessing about a £1500 premium over 335i. Worth it? I am still tempted by the 335i.

I knew it would be on its way soon....

...lots of discussion when the 330d was announced that the 335d would not arrive, pah!

It was always going to be in the plan but someone I spoke to reckoned it would be aligned with the 4 Series release as it was when the E92 became available than it arrived in the E90.

Whether it is needed is another question as the 330d is already a pretty decent engine but if there is a 335d available then thats the one some people ( me included !! ) would want.

4.8 secs ......... pretty phenominal stuff there. Has to encroach badly on the M3 or maybe it is going to be significantly faster than the current model too.

Nearly £4000 more?

IMO, not worth it.

I think it is about £4k difference in the 5 series. Not sure if you get better spec though to muddy the engine cost waters?

Exactly what I did. Great minds and all that .......
From what I saw on the configurator, the spec is the same.

It's usually circa £2k jump per model... I'd expect it to be £2K dearer than a 330d xDrive

With the advent of the most probably overpriced 335d xDrive (no sDrive it seems), the 330d sDrive is now the real sweet spot in the F30 range.

RWD rules, in my very humble opinion (IMVHO).

Yes it is properly quick. I would imagine those are BMW's conservative figures......should see faster on a one up test.

......with auto box and AWD, it is a stomp and go machine. A buffoon will replicate the times every time.

Yes it will cost more but will also be worth more come resale time, no one really knows what that differential is but in the current model a 335d is worth consdierably more than a 330d.
