If anyone did the top picture, they did it wrong. Bottom picture is correct as Thackers said.

THANKS

Thackers & Dippydo,

Beaucoup thanks!!

Finished putting on the spoiler -- this thread and the advice you two gave me made it an easy DIY.

eMotors2000 was my source for my $88 spoiler that was painted in matching Metallic Orion Silver -- really a good match! Add to that Kelly Lee's help in ordering and that it took only 10 days from order to delivery (and I'm on the East Coast).

Sure am glad I read this thread!!!

Will be sure to post picture when completed.

Ordered on the 9th from emotors2000, shipped on the 10th.
It arrived this morning (14th) at my US address (upstate NY).

Can I say wow, really impressed with the shipping delay

Should pick it up on Wednesday, along with the M Sport kit, and other stuff.
Should be on the car by next Thursday.

Can't wait !

installation

so is the general consensus here just to use the 3M tape and not the adhesive? From what I've read, just wipe with alcohol, I'm going to use a dry erase marker to mark proper position, tilt from back to front centered, hold down for a few minutes, then use painter's tape overnight? Thanks for all the DIY posts!

For what it's worth, I first wiped both the trunk lid and spoiler down with alcohol wipes and then used the adhesive in the little tube on the spoiler and then applied the two sided tape. I used masking tape to make my alignment marks. BTW, before I installed the spoiler, I polished it.

Have had it on now for about month and half, driving through some rotten rainy weather with no problems

Hope that helps

Had it installed at the dealer, and after a week, had one corner that didn't sit well.
Went back to the dealer, they removed it completely, cleaned the bumper and the wing, and reinstalled with "body shop strength" (their affirmation, not mine) double sided tape.

They were very impressed with the spoiler, not so much with the supplied tape.
Guess they weren't wrong after all.

Prob a silly question, but if I want the spoiler to look as much as possible to the black shadowline trim, which color name would that be?

Tried to order this spoiler but there is no Alpine White one. So I emailed the seller twice and got zero response. It's been 2 weeks.

Try PaintKing. I got mine there and he responded in one day. Mine wasn't listed either.

Well, it has been over 2 months since I installed my spoiler and have absolutely no problems. Again, Kelly Lee at eMotors2000 on eBay was very helpful in getting a perfect color match --all I really had to do was send him a note asking about the specific paint code) and then when I ordered to specify that paint code; more importantly, this thread was extraordinarily helpful!!

Thanks

I contacted Kelly Lee for an AW 300 spoiler and was persuaded not to order it, apparently they've been having many issues with the color being off, etc. So I agreed to order an unpainted spoiler, thinking it was going to be matte black, as the base finish in the front lips and diffuser. Well, the spoiler arrived today and to my surprise it is not black, it is like a light green horrible color and plasticky finish, which is essentially uninstallable as is.
Now, I'm stuck with an ugly raw spoiler, don't feel like wasting any time taking it to any body shop, and Kelly is obviously not responding my emails.
After looking again, I see that they have a separate listing for matte black color!
Will likely have to repurchase, and end up paying almost $150 in the process, close to what a new OEM one goes for.
