I am sort of in an interesting situation. I ordered my 335i M-Sport on 4/24. Production number was immediately assigned. Today I tried the order tracking phone number and my vehicle has already been completed and is in transit to the port of exit. I wonder if that is a record for quickest production, lol.

Funny thing is, I don't take delivery at the PCD until 7/8. Does it really take that long to make it to the US or is the delay just due to PCD being backed up?

Your car is probably a South African build so it takes a while longer to get to the US

I'd wait forl a July build. SA shuts down in July. You will get you car faster as a 2014 from Germany than a 13 fro SA.

Just got mine ordered and was slated for production this upcoming week. I had ordered it 2 weeks ago but had to deal with some stuff for BMW Financial before the order was completely put in this Friday. How long do you think it would take to get to the dealer if the car is built this week??

It's a Germany build and the 2nd to last week for production before it ends. If I couldn't of got a German build I probably would have waited for a 2014

Depends if its built in Germany or SA. Could be mid June or to even late July if from SA

If you get a production slot that is close to the front thats not all that uncommon. I ordered my 4/16ish and was at the port around 5/5...unfortunately the wait at the port can be anywhere from a couple days to several weeks (friend of mine who took delivery 2 Fridays ago sat there for 3+ weeks at the port!). You have a good chance at making tomorrow's ship, then again I dont know if they will hold yours since you arent taking delivery for a while. It wont take more than 3 weeks to get to PDC.

Hmm...I just checked. My factory code from the VIN is "F," which I think is Munich.

The VIR currently says "Dispatched from Ag." I am guessing Performance Center is really backed up if I really wont see this car for another 2 months.

Timeline so far:
4/24 - Order Placed
5/10 - Production Completed
.
.
.
7/8 Performance Center Delivery Scheduled

Got a production number this morning!! Wohooooo now begins the wait. I called the 1800 number and it says my vehicle is scheduled for production with no exact production date yet. My CA told me when i was ordering the car that my production slot was the week of May 15th. Hopefully the car starts production this week. How long after do you guys think the car would start production?

Well my car went into production today. Called the 1800 number and it has entered production with a estimated time of completion on 5/24. Now how long from start to finish does production take. Does it vary??

Looks like mine got to the port today. Who knows how long it will sit there, though. Can you direct me to the thread that instructs users on how to find the WW ship schedule?

My order has the same production start date and same estimated time of completion. Hopefully all will be smooth.

Cheers
