Garage List
Sounds amazing, I wonder what the excess mileage cost is because I couldn't own a car like that and only do 8K a year in it

You can increase the mileage allowance for free with BMW FS once you receive the car now! I've increased mine from 10k to 25k!

Good spot teaston. Very cheap deal indeed.

So that deal appears to also include the following?

Competition package, M-DCT transmission, reverse assist camera, Sun Pro Glass, HK Sound, Carbon fibre dash trim.

I guess most will want to add a few more options, that is very good indeed, and very tempting!

I actually tried to get a test drive at two dealerships yesterday of an M3 but they didnt have any available.
I need to wait 3 weeks to try one as I'm not about.

Wonder how long that will last? Bit of a gamble as you could get left with a big mileage hit if they stop allowing it before your car arrives!

So much want for a M3 mind

I have my 435d(yet to receive ) at 15k, so would it be possible to increase it to 20k for free?

Yes, might as well go for 25 or 30!

That is a really good deal.

What is more interesting is that his dealership actually have him working on purely forum, online deals.

It obviously gets in a fair bit of business.

Worth seeing how the the 340i deals pan out later in the year.

Yes he told me a couple of weeks ago that he's hanging up his sales manager hat to solely do forum sales! Apparently they make virtually no profit on them, but they're worth doing to hit sales targets!

Great news for any of us buying a car from him as his already amazing service will be even better!

How on earth can they do that without changing the GFV at the end of the term?

I've always with PCP gone for the lowest allowance possible given I never buy the car at the end of contract, always trade it in at some point during the term, so my main aim is to maximise GFV and minimise monthly payment. Obviously it means there will be less equity at trade in but better for ongoing monthly liquidity which is personal preference.

The excess mileage charge only applies if you hand the car back at the end but how many people do that?

They are stunning deals indeed. Very clever of Cooper C to enable TRL to concentrate on forum deals only. Shows the importance of hitting target. Good luck to him and I'm sure that those 'M' allocations will soon be taken.

Yes, only an advantage if you had back at end or VT mid contract. If you do very high mileage anyway then likely you wouldn't want to uy the car at the end.

Very tempting and I'm wondering if that extends to the M4 vert. But it's not the right time for us so will just hope that if they're available now then they will be available again at some point.

I agree, BMW are idiots for not making a touring version of either the M3 or M5. Not sure why they don't want to compete with RS4/6 and C/E 63 estates?

I do wonder how long BMW will be happy with such open serious discounting from a dealer. Absolutely no question, it will have an effect on already awful residuals.

I've bought on basis of how much I am going to lose (and got a respectable discount and good trade in). There's no getting away from fact that even with 18% off an M3, it will lose a shed load more than an F30.

When it leaves me, I will have lost £18k in 3 years and 50k on my 335d. I reckon M3 will be close to double that.

There is a quote for the M4 vert @ £648 per month with £5.5k deposit on the BB forum post

It's a very sad case of chasing volume, doesn't matter what or how they sell them, it's the volume they are after (BMW AG)

They've never tried with the M3, which is a much higher volume market than when they tried with the M5.

I understand that the M3 is taking around 25% of sales in the M3/M4 market compared to around 10% for E90 generation cars so maybe the market place is changing?

Mind you, unless it increases the overall market and not just cannibalising existing sales then maybe still not worth it. Doesn't stop them engineering other pretty small niches however, and ones that don't even make the most of BMWs strengths in comparison to how this might.
