Just saw that they still have 2014 MY, new on the lot, at many dealerships around Atlanta. They are fireselling them at 1/2 of MSRP. That car has been a flop in the US, it seems. Well, that's a good way of doing something useful with them.

I think the under/over for seeing one turned over is Labor Day. Considering the Mayor... I have my money on under.

Yeah they must be slow sellers because I saw leases advertised for less than $250 a month.

I'm guessing the design is just too radical for this area which tends to the more subdued design wise. You rarely see modern or contemporary houses up here either.

That is an attractive lease offer. With the range of the i3, it's doubtful you'd drive more than 10K per year.

I've driven one. It's actually not too bad to drive, the instant acceleration is a lot of fun. They just went too overboard with the exterior styling. Had they made it look a bit more 'Veloster-ish', they'd have an easier time getting people to buy into it. As it is right now, it looks like it belongs on the surface of Mars collecting soil samples.

It'd be a good city daily I think. I wouldn't want it for distance driving. It'll be perfect for NYC parks and commuting a few blocks

Excellent! LOL

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

A car with an 80-mile range just doesn't cut it in America. It looks like social media advertisement of giving 20 i3's away was cheaper advertising than a real TV commercial...

And that's the problem with cars like the i3. They make sense for a city, but for the taxi service, bus service, and subway service a city like NYC provides effciently and inexpensively. Not even to consider Uber... and charging challenges.
