OP, IMO $10K off MSRP at minimum. And this would only be a recommendation for someone who really wants a 335i but affordability is an issue. Otherwise get a MY13. Car will be 2 years old starting late August as MY14 cars hit showrooms so consider real world resale value.
Have you test driven this car? I highly recommend it. Could have bad tires and steering vibration that should be addressed before taking delivery. Spent a lot of time driving between 40-55MPH and check for vibration.

Things to take into consideration with a long-term leftover - the dealer is paying floorplan for this unit every month so they should definitely be motivated to move it. You might get a little more if you agree to finance through them since they get a little kicker. Then you can refi elsewhere if you're able to get better rates. |

Fact is the car is 2 years old in a couple months. Of course car is titled new and warranty begins from in service date. Unfortunately the resale market only looks at year, model, options, mileage and condition. In service date is not typically considered. Unless his plan is to private party sell and find the 5% crowd that care. I prefer to focus on the 95% real world. As a customer he should not care about dealer floorplanning, etc. That's the dealers problem. To the dealer this car is a loss regardless. The CA that moves it will likely get a huge pat on the back.

That wouldn't happen to be the Melbourne Red 335i at Braman BMW would it? haha I was also looking at that guy as an option! It really does have everything. Im just curious though how much is it going to cost you to get out of your current 2012? Personally, I couldn't justify paying off the lease less than a year into it just for a few more options. But thats just me haha.

That car needs a sucker, someone who MUST have a car today, or may end up as a Manager demo or service loaner.

They really have gone down in price. I got my 2011 M3 E90 Sedan for $40k w/39,000 miles on the clock. Not sure if that is considered "high mileage".

Though I must ask, who gives up after a single counter? Every dealer would do this to test the waters and vet out tire kickers. Hell, I do it myself. Go back with your own counter. A second contact will likely start real negotiations. It's worth a shot if you can get a killer deal. On something that's been on the ground for that long I'd bypass the sales team and go straight to the sales manager or GM. They're the ones that really want it gone. Most guys on the floor don't fully understand the skin the dealer has in it. |
