Rah_coon340i (aka FeelinBlessed)'s AWF30 LCI w/MPPSK + 437m Wheels

Hello all
Just thought I'd share my car by starting a short journal
Any compliments and constructive criticism will be welcome here
I wanted a 335 coupe since its first arrival and it was a car that I've wanted for the longest time. However, not coming from the best of environment it was out of my budget.
Now, being able to buy a 340i with all the options that I wanted is like a dream come true
I hope to enjoy this car for a while until I upgrade to a m3/4

This is the picture that first made me want to get a 340i.

So I pulled the trigger and placed an order 7/12/2016 (2 weeks before my wedding lol)

2017 AW 340i 8sp Auto
  • M-sport
    M-performance front splitter
    CF mirrors
    CF Spoiler
    Black Kidney Grills
    Black Dakota Leather w/oyster
    Track Package w/Adaptive M Suspension
    442m Orbit Gray 19"
    Hexagonal w/gloss black trim
    MPPSK (PIA) w/CF tips

Order date: 7/12/2016
Act. Prod Date: 7/30/2016
On the ship: 8/8/2016 Prominent Ace (turns out that it was the wrong ship. My car was on Glorious leader)
9/22/2016: "In Transit...."
Port Loc: PHMPOA
Arrived at port: 10/1/2016
Port installation: 10/3/2016
Work order complete: 10/7/2016
Picked up from Shelly BMW: 10/10/2016

Another reason I wanted a 340i!!! MPPSK

As ordered but shown without the front splitters

I purchased a set of used OEM 437m wheels for the car a month before its arrival

I didn't want to pay so much for Nav package that I don't need but I do like the 8.8" screen so I bought a used NBT Screen and will be doing a retrofit this weekend

They probably did it on purpose but they parked my car right next to a brand new fully equipped M2 in AW....
As much as I wanted to pull the trigger I just couldn't justify the 5k markup they wanted

The dealer asked me if I wanted them to detail the car and my answer was a quick NO.. no one touches my car but me

Will be adding AC Schnitzer lowering springs (wanted bilstein coils but did not want to lose EDC), 437m OEM wheels, IND painted reflectors, 8.8" Screen, and coding this weekend.

Thanks for looking!

Bone Stock!! Sort of....

Installed AC Schnitzer springs and 437M oem m4 wheels one week after picking up the car

My impression of the ACS springs is that it feels more planted and bodyroll has been reduced significantly w/o compromising the Adpative M Suspension.
No harsh ride or bounciness but does feel more stiff. Asked my wife if she can tell any difference in ride quality and she confirmed that it does feel more stiff w/o compromising ride quality.
She said only difference she can tell is that the ride feels stiffer but very close to stock.

As for the 437m Wheels I couldn't be happier. I fitted them with the stock run flats and I love the look.
ACS springs only dropped the car about a finger gap around all corners but the stance is greatly improved due to wider stance from the aggressive offsets of the M4 wheels.
I could definitely go lower if I wanted to but this is the perfect height I want to be as a daily driver

UPDATED PICS: 11/22/2016

I believe bilstein b16 damptronic are soon to be available for use with 340i LCI. I believe they just released it for the old suspension on the 335

Yeah but at what cost? lol Plus I still haven't been sold that these will retain the oem adaptive function. Maybe after it's been more proven I'll consider it but for now I have to settle for springs

Yes they are being released to be linked to the sport/comfort toggle inside. It depends on when they are released. In my opinion, springs just don't cut it because the spring rate doesn't match the dampers

Interesting idea!

Looking forward to see how the graphics is affected when only the screen is changed (to a wider one with another resolution).

Post some pics when you finished the retrofit.

Will do! But there are others who have done this already with great results
I've done a thorough research before any decision was made for the retrofit

Nice ride, congrats! I had a AW 2016 340i M Sport, so I approve of your tastes! As far as the NAV goes, I never use it, but I always get it anyway for resale. It adds very little to the payments.

Need pictures! Congrats on the car and the wedding, but I would be devastated to have to leave the car to go on honeymoon. You got yourself a wife... and a mistress at the same time
