options to delete CEL w/ downpipe
hey guys' so im thinking of getting a catless Downpipe for my n26. I was wondering, what are some options to delete the CEL? I'm running a dinan tune so I don't think it's possible to remove, only with a jb4. I don't race it since its my daily, just spirited driving from time to time. I don't want to keep the CEL because I'm afraid of issues I may have when I bring the car in for service or warranty work.
if anyone knows somebody that is willing to do it in the socal area please let me know, its the only thing holding me back from getting the downpipe! thanks!! |

You either need the Jb4 or the BMS F can flap module.

To clarify, you can run the F Series Can Flap module to remove the CEL (not mentioned for legal reasons).
Or if you want to switch to more powerful tune then the Jb4 would take care of it also. When switching to the Jb4 you'd need to have your dinan tune removed so keeping that in mind the F Series can Flap Module would likely suit your needs the most. |

Option A) the code is set and then immediately cleared? Option B) the code is intercepted and the computer is given false data. A wild ass guess would be that the JB4 does option B and the canFlap does Option A??? I'm assuming the reason Dinan is CARB approved is because it doesn't mess with these codes? I've got an N26, I'd prefer the Dinan tune but I am also looking at opening up the exhaust and putting in less restrictive cats. Hell even running a stock N20 setup would be a vast improvement.

It deletes the CEL caused by downpipes? (i thought there was no such thing for the F30s. I might have been reading old threads?) And Finally does it only connect to the OBDII and nothing else, or do i have to connect it to the OBDII and something else in the engine bay? Thank You |

It does delete codes and control the exhaust valves By the way the JB4 deletes codes as well

If you are not interested in the tune, get the BMS can flap module to delete the CEL
