WOW-- the grilles took me ten minutes to install! Could have been a bit quicker/easier if I had smaller hands.

Hmm.. If it were me, I'd at least called BMW and let them know the Dealer charged more. The reason BMW quotes the prices is to avoid situations like this, where one person is charged more than the other for something straightforward. They don't quote times for suspension, etc as there are too many variables.

There should have been ZERO extra parts needed. That, coupled with the grill quote they gave you definitely warrants the "complaint" call. At least so the next guy doesn't get fleeced.

Anyway, I've beat than dead horse Enjoy the exhaust.. I love mine!!

Nice

Looks good and sounds good.

Though there is one problem;

The exhaust is hanging way too low. You should adjust that asap. Looks like its some cheap aftermarket stuff with bad fitment.

The cut outs in the rear panel are only there to house the tips, not to channel air or anything!

Anyways, i'm impressed.

Sounds almost exactly like the M Performance exhaust on the X5, I like it. If it's anything like the X5s, the tail pipes are clamped on, so it does take a little while to get everything lined up exactly.

Agreed. But for this video it makes no difference. It's just to hear the sound of the exhaust.

Thanks for the clips. Sounds pretty good!

Looks great! But I kinda like the thick walled exhaust look better than the thin one. This sort of reminds me of dinans exhaust

Sounds great but looks absolutely hideous IMO. Just a polished steel pipe with etched in logo, big whoop. Plus it sticks out like a sore thumb. I like the look of thicker and slanted stock tips, they flow with the diffuser better.

Sorry about that. I was just trying my best to capture the sound. Not much going on visually anyway.

The exhaust is stainless steel but the tips are actually chrome-plated.

Thank you! I'll look into making an adjustment. In person, it really does not appear to be hanging low at all.

Does the M performance exhaust replace the regular PE?

for $1250 this is a great exahust that does not mess up the warranty.. and with BMW the exahust will sound better over time when the insulation starts to break in, it will keep getting better and better.

This exhaust should imo be standard 335i gear! It indeed sounds really nice and gives the car a bit more sound.

After using it for a number of months and a few thousand km's I question if the AKRO isn't the preferred choice. As the sound could imo be more loud. Maybe in combination with an air intake mod the M exhaust sound better?

I just wish they didnt protrude so much or hang so low and it would be rad to have a black version.

Looks good! I would like it a little louder personally. Like the E90/92 Performance Exhaust.
