One could even debate the word. Is it colour or color. It all depends on where you're from ^^.

Go find some pictures of "amber", the substance which the color is named after, and you'll see that amber is more in the orange shade and can move towards yellow or orange-red, and even brownish orange.

Hold you hand under the rear view mirror and you'll see the light is distinctly reddish, not amber.
It's reddish amber.

Or maybe it's closer to amberish red.

Ok, if "amber" must be in there, then so be it.

took this from a page called the many colours of Amber. The last pic on the page is what I copied, I think it looks the closest.

When you reach 40mph, the automatic speed monitor turns on the steering wheel vibration.

I don't think it is a free option thrown in....it is in fact an issue that many F30 328i owners have. There is another long thread discussing this issue http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682580

I swear I'm about to die any second now...

amber is amber...

amber is not red
amber is not yellow

but the closest thing to amber is : orange...

Oh and to control the intensity of the ambient lightning

you can control it two ways:
1) i-DRIVE as the main control
2) dashboard and instrument lighting wheel on the side of the steering wheel by the headlight controls. (as the secondary control)

and i too find it funny that:

Amber = classic colOr
white = sport/luxury/modern

OK - Back on topic.

One of my favorite features is the little, hidden compartment to the left of the drivers left knee on the bottom section of the dash. Perfect for keeping my wallet on long drives (keeping it out of view when I stop), or possibly storing a firearm. Albeit not a large one, but a medium to small one for sure.

I've always thought amber was orange too. Hence clear corners vs amber corners. I don't like my instrument cluster to be on very bright. Is that why ive always thought my map lights were never bright?! That's just a dumb feature.

My dealer told me the wheel with red and blue by the vents is to select what type of humidity you want with whatever air temp you have selected. So blue would be dry when red would be more humid.

really? i thought it was what temp you want coming out of those 2 vents, but humidity would make sense too. interesting.

I've seen it described in the forums as the "intensity" wheel. I think that's the best description of it. It changes the temperature, not humidity AFAIK.
