2013 335i Sedan - M Sport Line - Loaded

Hi guys,

This is my first post... and I am quite excited!

I recently went into a couple dealers to negotiate on a 2013 335i sedan with the following packages:
M Sport, Cold Weather, Premium, Tech, Driver Assistance (parking package+blindspot detection), Dynamic Handling (Variable Sport Steering), Sport Auto w/ paddle shifters, and premium sound.

The MSRP came out to be $57,420 (incl. destination, but excluding taxes). I was offered $54,220, or $3200 off MSRP which amounts to ~5.6% off. I will also take advantage of the New Grad offer (so another ~1k off, but that shouldn't affect negotiations.)

I've seen many things on this forum including being able to get about 7% off MSRP. If I include the extra 1K off from the New Grad offer, that would bring me to about $4200 off, or ~7.3%. Am I doing well... should I continue to shop around / negotiate? Are there some other offers I am missing out on? I didn't attend the Team USA event, and I also know of the 300$ off for downloading the BMW app, but I believe the latter only applies to MY12.

Thanks for everyone's input!

Best,
crow

P.S. I am having a hard time with the fact that Mineral White is not available w/ the M Sport package! I decided to go with ther Alpine White or Estoril blue, both are different from the usual dark gray colors I have gotten in the past.

First of all, welcome and congrats!

If you've scoured enough, you should be aware of BMWConfig. That's a good start to see how much invoice really is and see if you can negotiate $XXXX above invoice rather than $XXXX from MSRP. Might get you a better deal. Seems that around here, $500-$1000 above invoice is quite doable.

Being a Mineral White driver now, I will never go back to Alpine. I thought Alpine was a good looking color until I had MW.

That said - I heavily suggest Estoril. It's such a beautiful color.

Almost the exact configuration I will be looking into soonJust went to the Team USA event at Stevens Creek and received a code for 1000 off a new purchase. Not in the market until next year for a new bimmer, so if you want to check with your dealer to see if you can add this to your discounts. I am willing to give it up sense it will not be used. PM me if you want to use the code.

Most likely not tranferrable.

It won't help you next year either, since it has to be used by October.

Thanks everyone for your input. I have decided to go with Estoril Blue

I have not yet placed my final order, as I am working with a couple of dealerships to get the best offer possible. I will update this thread once I receive a final price/offer.

Also, Ghost, it would be great to get that code! I am signed up for Sonnen's Test Drive event on Friday, but it would save me a trip to SF on Friday (so you'll effectively save me a lot of time! I can't PM you since I have <5 posts, but I am not sure if I can receive PMs. If you PM me with your gmail we can discuss over gchat. I appreciate your kindness!

From the fine print of my $1,000 Voucher.

"BMW Drive for Team USA Allowance is available on all new 2012 and 2013 BMW models and can only be redeemed by individuals who participate in a scheduled BMW Drive for Team USA event and is non-transferable."

JustinTJ: I didn't get a voucher from the event, just two codes sent to my email. Did you also get two 14 digit codes?

Thanks Ghost! I will put it to good use, I promise And if for any reason you change your mind and would like to purchase this year, let me know and I won't redeem it.

Also, which bay area dealership are you planning to use? I have had decent experiences with BMW Fremont and Eastbay thus far (Stevens Creek is not very responsive.)

Best,

If you have a costco membership you might want to look at that i currently have an offer for for a 2013 335i sport at $750 over invoice with the costco auto program. you also get a 10% discount on accessories with costco.

Regarding the voucher code:

When I was waiting to test drive the 335i during the event in Mountain View, a customer was inquiring about the ability to use the voucher if he wanted to purchase that same day. The staff member he was talking to said that while the e-mail wouldn't arrive for a couple of days, all the customer's contact information "was already in the database and could be used immediately".

Based on that, I think the voucher code may be tied to one's personal contact information and thus, non-transferable.

@Crowed: Congrats on the order. I'm planning to do ED on an EBII M-Sport next May. Hope to see you around the Bay Area!

That would suck.. I was actually signed up for the event last week but I decided not to go! I'm sure they'd be willing to give me it but if not I will be pissed (or is that karma?)!

Interesting... I am a member so I will have a look. Thanks for the tip! By the way, are only some dealers authorized to work with Costco, or can you use this discount on any dealership?

What makes you think that the rules don't apply?

You were warned.

Well I had asked the dealer if all I needed was the code, and they had said yes. I did intend to go (and so I had signed up, and then canceled), but if I could save myself the SF traffic on Friday, why not? But if it doesn't work out, it is my fault
