Tire wear too quickly?

Any f3x owner, 35i with stock 19 inch tire in particular. My f32 435i's front tires are 7/32 tread, rear 6/32 after 9 months of total driving. Is it normal? I googled a bit, found brand new tire come with 10/32. So after less than 1yr, i lost about 3/32 to 4/32 tread??? If this is true, i am looking at change tires after this summer????

Stock, Bridgestone potenza run flat. Tracked once last summer but only took 8 laps. 27849km but been thru 2 winters with my winter tires. So should be 11-12k km on stock tires

You've got the stock RFT Summer Performance tires. Look them up: the treadwear rating is probably not so good. This is exactly what they mean by "pay for performance". Most people wear them out before 20K miles (30K km).

I don't know why people are surprised by this.
One reason that people replace their tires (often with go-flats) is that several summer tires (Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Continental DW) have longer lifetimes than the OEM.

Yes as mentioned the RFT summer tires aren't designed for high mileage. If you prefer RFT there are some that have a higher treadwear rating, but the go flats will have better treadlife and more options to choose from, but you will have to get the tire repair kit if you get those.

Seem like it is the time to have my tire insurance pay off

I think tire insurance is only for if you get a nail though you could just put a nail in the tire and say you ran over it to get a new tire lol.
