Belkin USB charger not working
Has anyone got any issues with small Belkin USB charger in their BMW's?
Come straight out of my Audi A3 where it was working fine... Doesn't power in my F32 |

I don't have any experience that charger, but it seems like certain plugs don't work with the power outlet. I bought a tire inflator and it didn't work using the outlet in my car, yet when I tried it on another car it was fine. I ended up returning it and getting a different model inflator and it worked fine.

Very strange indeed, picked up the newer model of the Belkin charger and all is working fine but now I cant close the tray because the newer designs are a tad too big -__-

Some Belkin Charger modules have an internal fuse. Check it on another car to see if it works there. If not, the fuse may have blown. Make sure you fully seat the module. I know mine required some extra effort to get it fully seated in my 335i

I believe it may have been that particular model, as my friend who has the exact charger also did not work in my car but as explained the newer models did. |

My Belkin works in my 2014 328-d.
Crazy thought -- did you try it in any of the other outlets (Just to see if maybe it is that particular connector)? Biizzare as it may sound, I had a similar issue of a charger not working all of the time in my earlier 2003 330. In that case, the charger would work in my other vehicle (2008 Mini) however in the BMW, it would only work if I rotated it a certain way to ensure a contact with the electrode in a particular position. Just a thought. Last edited by ADM; 01-01-2015 at 10:26 AM.. |

Back to original topic - I have had 3 Belkin chargers die on randomly over the past couple of years. I have a dual-port Belkin in the passenger side aux and it miraculously survived for over a year now but based on other Amazon reviews failure is pretty common. |

If you're after a slim charger that fits into the central cigarette socket, I have a kensington one which is slim enough to close. Works on nexus 5 and iPhones.
Can dig up model if interested. |

I'd be interested to know what model this is, my new Belkin charger doesnt allow me to close the lid when plugged in without cable.
