1) you have to code the car to "remember last setting" or "off by default" Check out the DYI forum for instructions how. or ask your dealer.

2) you did to get a led with "canbus" on it. aka ERROR Free. some what of a resistor on it to prevent code. put your stock back in it. the code should clear itself.

1) You can have the dealer change it to remember the last setting. There are lots of threads about this here. The mode will be turned back on if you select Eco-Pro; you jut have to push the button again after going into Eco-Pro to turn it off again.

2) I think it has to do with the car sensing a different resistance in the bulbs. Check out the DIY forums here. There may be specially ordered bulbs that don't throw faults.
