I've not seen anyway to chose the suspension settings in ECO-PRO but it feels a bit stiffer than Comfort. I prob use Comfort and ECO-PRO the most. |

For me:
Adaptive M Sport Suspension a must and my No.1. Really improves the driving experience. Front and Rear Parking sensors my joint No.1 Visibility Pack great for night driving Heated seats a must with leather Folding door mirrors needed for Central London. Love the dipping feature HK if you love your music. Excellent value Electric lumbar support if you've got a weak back Pro Nav an absolute must for showing off. Hardly use it Boot net secures food shopping Not for me: DAB. Sounds rubbish. Wish I'd not paid for it 19" Wheels. Impractical. Ruin the ride. Expensive on tyres. Very difficult to fix. Impossible to get Wheel Insurance. A definite No No Love: The 330d's engine. Simply wonderful The 8 speed Auto + paddles EBII the best hue Coral Red leather seats. Simply stunning Wish I'd ordered: Heated Steering Wheel .... maybe All round cameras. Damn. Love 'em. Sooo useful.

I drove two cars back to back, F31 with the M400 18" and then F30 19" M403. Didn't notice any difference in harshness when I went out in the 19's equipped car. What I did notice was the F31 was more prone to wheelspin.....this could be due to the different tyres fitted to the 18's or perhaps the F31 is just generally more prone to wheelspin (doubtful)???? |

Not for me: 19" Wheels. Impractical. Ruin the ride. Expensive on tyres. Very difficult to fix. Impossible to get Wheel Insurance. A definite No no Must say I'm a bit puzzled with this comment. Impractical, why? Having drove in 18s previously to the 19s I don't notice any difference, the suspension tends to make the difference IMO. Expensive on tyres, marginally, lets be honest if we're buying brand new BMW's I think the marginal increase is pretty insignificant really! Personably I love the look of them and I feel they make the car!!! |

I ordered split rear seats on my E90 cos the missus says "just in case" and also my old 330d had them. Never used the things in nearly 18 months.
Only used them twice in the old car. |

My reasons which you might disagree with: Impractical: Easier to kerb. I am crap at parking. Too many spokes to clean. Difficult to fix: Because they are diamond cut. Without a wheel for a day as they need to be machined on a special lathe. Hence without a car. 18" are painted and can be fixed quickly and more easily with a smart fix (outside the house). Cheaper to fix due to Wheel Insurance. Diamond cut can only be fixed once. Wheel Insurance: Not available as they are diamond cut. Ride: No question that 18" give a better ride and produce less road roar. I've compared them very carefully. Looks: 19" look nicer but not overly so. 18" also look great with a more delicate look. Tyre costs and availability: 18" tyres are more easily available. I am too mean to pay that 'little bit extra' for 19" tyres. Therefore, 5 out of 6 in favour of 18". ETTO.

also there is less sidewall so the alloy cops it when you hit a pothole,my friend has a tyre business and does a roaring trade in replacing cracked alloys and stuffed tyres,it is even worse on cars with 20s,21s,uk roads really are awfull

Really liked the 19" alloys but the missus was totally against them so it was none starter. However I'm really happy with the 18", I think they go well with Mineral Gray.
On the E91 the 18" 193M were way nicer than the 17" 194M. IHMO both the 400M and 403M both look pretty smart |

They do look good, but most of the time you're IN the car so you can't see 'em

I have included the heated steering wheel and kept to the 18 wheels for the reason you outline with which I agree. I'm not going for TV at 800 quid or the surround view at 500 quid. I thought the rear view was good enough. Before I confirm my order, Do you really think the extra cameras with the view are really worth it? Last edited by zorroone; 01-27-2013 at 10:40 AM.. If you struggle with spatial awareness, then perhaps the surround camera system will be a plus. I generally park so fast I don't have time to consult all the camera views, so would be low on my list. Good luck with the order |
