4 Series - First Service

Hi all...

When I collected my new 420i last month, the next service indicator on the dash (when engine starts) said 19,000 miles (or Jan 2016). I've only done 1,200 miles and now the next service indicator is down to 14,000 miles. Any ideas? It seems to come down a 1,000 miles every week (or 250 miles actually travelled). I've been treating it kindly (as you should in the opening 1,000 miles or so)....

Gotta say though, now that it's done 1,200 miles it's really loosened up - and it feels so much better than it did when it was brand new!

Darren.

Sounds like it could need a software update! Have you asked the dealers about it?

Well mine's done 1500 miles and it says 16,000 miles to next service, and i've driven mine a bit harder than yours by the sounds of it!

It also depends on what kind of journeys you are doing as well. Short journies will mean that the counter will go down quicker as well.

I found mine on my last car would sit for ages them jump and may then sit again, some items it counted down in more regular increments. It's worth getting the dealer to look though.
