Mperformance cf is trash!
So less than a year mounted on my car the clear coat is flaking, and there are a ton of surface cracks in the clear coat. My options are to sand this piece of shit down and attempt to re-clear, or I'm going to remove it and hope to sell it. BMW will not warranty anything on it since I did not purchase it from or have it installed by a dealer....which is complete bullshit.
I am currently looking for either an m4 style cf spoiler or the ADH csl style spoiler. Question for you guys is who makes the best fitting cf spoilers on here? |

While my interior M Performance trim is pretty, I have found the carbon fibre is delaminating from the plastic base around the iDrive controls over time.

Wrong bud, the car is ceramic coated, has been professionally detailed and cared for since day one. Parked inside my garage daily and under a solar power canopy at my office when I do drive the car, I have other cars/trucks I drive so it's not a daily. The spoiler is a piece of shit, the quality is garbage. On my e90/92's I've had cf spoilers from lots of our sponsors and never ever had an issue like this. Fitment is good. That's about it. But yeah thanks fo contributing nothing at all and assuming.... |

That's crazy I'd be more pissed at that than my spoiler. At least the interior isn't outside in the elements!!

I dont understand why people are hating on OP. He has valid points. It would be nice if the dealer can open a case with BMW to have them cover the "warranty" instead of it coming out of the dealer's pocket. But I doubt there's a process for that.
I feel for you OP. You spend the extra money because it's a quality part and you get screwed. I try and stick with well known ebay parts just because it's cheaper and I wont be as upset if something happens.

OP keeps his car in a garage and under a canopy when he drives it to work. Also not a DD. See above.

Yeahhh with it being bought like that I can see why they wouldn't honor the warranty though, they don't know how old it is, where it came from and all that. It sucks but i see why they want nothing to do with it. Hope it works out for you and you find a way to fix it

If you think M Performance CF is bad, you should see how fast the cheap crap people on this forum buy from eBay/Amazon/alibaba turns in color with no UV Protection. Then again, all my positive experience comes from OEM CF from F8x series. Seems the F3x series have a different gloss at the very least.
As you purchased from user on forum and they could provide no receipt, what did you do to confirm this was actual OEM? This is a great reason why you shouldn’t pay 80% or 90% of what you can get new parts for imo. A guy of F80 forum has been trying to get $525 forever for 4 BMW CF Door Handles and thinks that is reasonable, when new set can be purchased for $540. |

This isn't my first rodeo man, been driving bimmers for 18 years now, Ive owned every iteration or m3 from e36 to e92 with tons of CF oem parts that never ever looked like this bullshit. There's no excuse, there was no install error or anything stupid like that. Believe it or not I hear more good stories about shit off eBay than bad! You think all good or oem parts are made in Europe? Lol. Everything is made in China l! Lol |

My car came with the CF spoiler as well and it has 2 small flaky spots on the edge near the trunk. Not sure why it would flake there, nothing can even touch that part.
I agree OP. Glad I didn't pay for it.
