Sorry for reviving this thread but did you have to reprogram your airbag unit? If so, did you bring it to the dealer? Do you recall how much they charged you. I'm doing this retrofit too Thanks in advance.

The car has to be reprogrammed if you use single stage.

You have to get permission BMW AG to send a vehicle change order. The wheel is not on the car right now. I went a different route.
