Rule of thumb... if you're asking about it being bad, chances are you're confirming your own suspicions.

It looks hideous. Just think about all of the people you will blind during a sunny day. Color match, gloss black, or CF with AW. Anything else will look tacky

The M135, M235 Ferric Grey mirror covers is a much better option. OEM covers that fits the F30, F31.

i had my e90 mirrors wrapped in brushed steel and always got compliments. It was my take on the m235 mirrors. Forum people mostly hated it but in person people liked the idea. Easily reversible too

...but chrome.. no. although there is a guy on the f10 forum with a sick f11 rocking them and it works.
