That's ps2 on pump right. The number are good but my point is that the curve always drop toward the redline on our small turbo no matter what tune you use, this case bm3.
I'm definitely getting bm3 in the future cuz smooth delivery for a dd but not sure if is with ps1 or ps2.

This is stock turbo says it in first post lol, PS2 on Pump was M2 and numbers are clearly higher 436whp 570wtq or something.

My bad, didn't know that stage2 was for bm3.

Did they do the +FMIC and + some e85 dyno yet?

This.

Just can't imagine, till this day there is nowhere to find one single BM3 before-after dyno with just basic bolt-ons like DP+IC.

Doesn't make much sense STG 2 "introduction" dyno plot as this is, don't have an IC in place...

Sean, I have this exact car with downpipe and IC installation date set for middle of May. I'm actually driving to PTF HQ for BM3 install and dyno run soon after. I will definitely report back on my results. Should be around early to mid June, work schedule pending. stay tuned!

Very few people think about getting a dyno baseline. They just care about the peak numbers and not the delta.

No one has done before/after track or dyno testing with jb4 vs bm3 yet they swear bm3 is better. Of course a true software is better but it has to be no doubt faster to make me jump ship.

I have both BM3 and JB4 on my car. The reason why most people don't have a before and after dyno of just and IC and DP is because in my opinion, most people are already FBO and JB4 before BM3 showed up. And, most people do not want to take off all their mods and leave the IC and DP just for dyno numbers. People's scenarios are different and so are their goals. Dyno runs also aren't cheap. I can attest that BM3 is smoother than JB4 and stock flash. It is incredible how my car pulls and feels with just 16 PSI on BM3 with 93 octane. I could go dyno it now, but I have a full exhaust, intake, charge pipe oh gosh, I have a PS2 as well. Sorry. I had driven my car for about 50k miles with JB4, FBO and e30-e40 on stock turbo running map 7 ~19 PSI then drove it on PS2 for another 10k miles with the trimmings DV+, Hi flo inlet..etc with as high as 28 PSI on map 6 with E60 in the tank. The car was quite quick, but the dyno curve, granted the car put down 525whp and 524wtq was choppy as hec and logs were not clean. I went back and fort for tuning help at N54 tech, but my car 'just won't get right' lol. I dialed the car back to map 7 and drove it that way for months until I went BM3. A good decision so far as we progress through taking full advantage of all my mods and cranking up boost. After installing the OTS tune that came with my license and a couple of revisions, I was completely blown away. If someone told me 'ah, power isn't everything' I would tell them to go sit down and have a coke and a smile..lol. My experienced butt dyno told me that although my car wasn't quite as fast as it's previous configuration, it felt buttery smooth and pulled like a freight train. I put my JB4 on map 4 and drove my car for weeks a very happy man..lol.

In my honest opinion, granted my car is modded to near the end of it's life, I would go BM3 if I had to start over. Flash wins over piggy-back all day ayday and twice on Sundays. I wish I had your dilemma back in late 2013 when I took delivery of my car. I suppose it all depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go with modding your car. If you chose to go as far as I have gone, you'll quickly find out that you'll NEED a flash tune or BEF/JB4. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I've gone down a similar path with my car, and I agree wholeheartedly. We're still working on the tune for my car (I have a dyno this weekend, but I think I'll make as much as I did on JB4 if not more), but the second version I had that made 40HP less than on JB4 felt much better driving. The guys at the dyno also noted how much better the AFR and power/torque curves looked with the BM3 vs the JB4.

We're getting pretty high up in our tuning at this point (Halim and Dzenan are freaking awesome with this) and the map I just got from them today is boosting to 18-20PSI (target seems to be about 23PSI) whereas the previous one that made less power than the JB4 was only about 10-11PSI. I imagine this next dyno will be a good one. Just have to figure out if I have a boost leak somewhere...

Then there should be plenty of dyno comparing IC/DP JB4 vs IC/DP BM3, which is even better, which unfortunately is nowhere to be found either.

Not to be hard on BM3 anyway, it just don't make sense given the N55 population.

Thoughts?

I think he just told you the exact opposite of that. Most people are already FBO or have an upgraded turbo. Flashes always make more and better power on pump gas. Better meaning the car feels right with ut like it came from the factory like that.

BM3 is a platform, not a tune. You get tunes through authorized vendors on the BM3 platform. BM3 just makes it much easier to get a flash tune than the previous method of having to pull the DME and bench flash it. Now tuners can just upload their tune via the OBD port. Many people have gone with flash tunes such as Enzo, etc and I'm pretty sure they have dynos.

@BimmerFan
If you load your stock map and go to the dyno I dont think you will see much higher numbers with all your upgrades vs a stock car. The one component having the most impact in that case is a d-cat DP which will mostly give better spool and low rpm torque.
So if anyone actually wanted to do a "stock" baseline they could with fairly accurate results - or even just make a map6 with stock boost targets. I will do this next time I go because stock flash isn't good at controlling the PS2.

You're correct its a platform, but it comes with the best possible OTS Map you can get. For ex, in the S55/S63TU is outperforming other flash tune & piggyback that are running more boost. So you don't have to go to another tuner but you can if you want to run their Custom Tune (say for your Meth/PI setup, or a E85 blend map).

N55 OTS Maps variant are so much more complex because of all the different software builds out there (PWG cars; RWD/Auto, RWD/6mt, AWD/Auto, then EWG with the same differences), its not fouling plugs and already BM3 BEF/JB4 set the new 1/4 World Record in a 13' PWG 335xi FBO/PS2/etc 11.1 at 22psi last year my buddy set the first Fxx N55 WR 1/4 in his m235xi Enzo BEF/JB4/FBO/PS2/PI at 11.2 but 25psi.

Stock flash with PS2 gave me 414rwhp and 411rwtq on 93 octane and FBO on map 6. I am not sure where boost was set at exactly. I have to go find the dyno chart somewhere as well, but those are the numbers IIRC.
