Hi,

Finally got camera control module, TRSV, connected; neither the camera switch nor the iDrive screen icon, however, will activate either the rear or side cameras. I, therfore, thought that I had to inject CAFD into this ECU.

So I went on about injecting CAFD as per Shawn Sheridan's super instructions and when it came time to select CAFD, I selected the most current one listed, associated with F020-14-503.

When I got all done, I got two errors:
cdDeploy ProcessedWithErrors
cafd_0000223-013_009_007 NotExecutable

Here's my I-Step levels:

• Current: F020-14-07-505
• Last: F020-14-07-503
• Shipment: F020-13-07-503

I am using E-Sys version 3.24.3 & PszDdata version 53.4 lite

What do I have to do to correct this error? Most importantly, what are my next steps?

if i remember correctly.......i think you need the FULL version to inject a CAFD. Lite version is only for coding a CAFD that already exists.

I may be wrong on this.

The lite version is fine for coding. If you want to flash new firmware onto a ECU you will need the full version.

I have been using the PszDdata lite version; ShawnSheridan suggested that the only instance when you need the full version is for flashing an ECU.

As I continue to scratch my head and dig into this further, I ran into something odd.

Using Token Master's CAFD/NCD tool (Terrific tool, by the way!), I got all of the specific coding items that the three options (508 for both PDCs, 3AG for rear camera & 5DK for side cameras) I added to my VO would affect. I then compared the post-VO-coded NCD files of the three affected modules (ICM, HU_NBT & REM) with the list I got from the tool.

All items were an exact match except for the following:
HU_NBT > ExBox 3001 > TRSVC. This item was VO-coded in the car as 41, but the list showed it as 81 (and I even tried for each of the two camera options separately and then all).

Could this be the cause of my problem as I have no way of figuring out what these values represent??
