Lemon Laws are different in each state that has them. Most are 30 days of car in shop. However, every state I have looked at says the car has to be un-driveable. Your Turbo issue would qualify. Constant Limp mode or brake failure would be a safety issue and would qualify. Leaves in the blower, a water leak or a steering wheel vibration would not apply. One would need to hire and pay a lawyer upfront on their own for something like this. As I have sued a car company twice, its no walk in the park. BTW, the last one I sued out of my pocket was MB. They drug it out for 5 years. They spent over $100k in legal fees and I spent close to that to finally win. So those of you thinking of moving to a MB for an issue, lots of luck! |

I had a lexus is300 for 8 years that ended at 220k miles and didnt have a single issue other than oil changes, alignments, and brake pads. BMW is really damning themselves by not treating their customers better and improving reliability. The 335 is an amazing car but it is 60k in the trash if its in the shop once or twice a month. I too am relieved I didnt buy this car, i would be terrified of post warranty ownership.

I had 5 significant issues with my car over 3 years of ownership. I loved driving it, but in terms of reliability, it was nowhere close to my experience with Honda/Acura cars. That's why I'm still getting BMW, but will be leasing it.

I have a 2012 335i 6mt and have driven loaners more than my own vehicle. The suspension sounds like the struts are all bad even after all four have been replaced. The dealer says there are two or three others in the area with the same issue and nobody knows how to fix it. BMW field engineers are "working on a solution", but I may have to lemon law the car after all. Has anyone else heard of this suspension issue?
First post, sorry if I did it wrong. Thanks! |

Yeah but when you lease they have to fix it or reimburse you payments...PLus I would never drop 060k on my 335...much rather 600 bucks/mo...After the warranty period who the hell knows what will be going on.
