Hello to all,
I am looking to specify my new F31 330d M Sport xDrive. I have spoken to the factory and i can have my care in Valencia Orange for an additional £1,300 but I am looking at the interior. I was thinking about "Cashmere Beige Merino Leather". This changes the seat colour and the door panels but leaves the carpet and dash in black. I really need a contrast in colours as my wife is going BLIND but I also want it to look right. What do you think? My only other option is to go with an all black interior which might cause problems for my wife in the long run. Any suggestion would be grateful. |

I do really like the contrast in leather and door panels. The only non-individual interior is Corel red which also does this....

i agree - they must clash (orange and red?!). I love the cashmere and beige. rjberry will tell you how nice that is. It wasn't worth the xtra £1300 for me but you have higher priorities in that regard.

Sorry, what colour of car are you going for? What sort of discount do you think is realistic from your dealer? |

I wanted a bright colour, brighter than what was available from the standard colour range for the 3 Series. The factory said that I could have any colour from the standard colour range of its other models. So as the yellow was discontinued or was a special limited edition (Z4) I settled for the orange that was available from the M Coupe and now is available from the X1 range.
I have no idea about what discount may be available as it is a brand new model and not a run out model. This car will be for me, a car to keep to till i kick the bucket so it will be fully loaded with over £15k of extras. So I'm not interested in a potential resale value disaster by getting it in Valencia Orange. in bright sunshine the colour is bright orange and when the sun goes behind clouds it becomes a darker blood orange, the orange is a metallic. |

If you're not worried about resale then I say go for it, you might as well have exactly what you want and so long as you like it ......

Saw a Valencia Orange 1 Series down the dealers and it is a very nice colour indeed!
Reckon it's a good colour for a 330d. If you were spec'ing orange on a 318d then yeah it might be like lipstick on a pig, but on a 330d it's gonna be one helluva 'stand-out' car PS - yep, Coral Red leather + Valencia Orange paintwork would be a bit OTT (except on a Lambo?) but Cashmere would be a good match IMHO.

My tuppence:
Captain Cow Pat: The external colour you have chosen will probably make the car unsaleable. Black leather is the only one that will go with it. Your poor wife is a suffering one as are all those who clap their eyes on such a strange looking tomato. Talk about a wake up call! But as they say so often: ETTO with knobs on!

Looking forward to see something different. Too many EBII, White or Mineral Gray cars on this forum
But I have to agree with F30AM, interior needs to be black and sporty so no wooden trim. |
