Sunroof only open to ~90%

Just noticed today, sunroof won't open fully when push the sliding button once. Stopped at ~90%. Have to push one more time to open it fully.

Was that a design? If so, why, BMW?

Cheers

This is normal; indeed for aerodynamic and comfort reasons (limiting wind noise). You have to push twice to open it for 100% but then it is recommendable to open one window slightly in order to prevent cabine turbulence

BMW keep changing their minds on this.

I can't remember if it was my E36 or E46 which had the same 90% opening, then having to press again to open it fully. Anyway, it was one of them. Most annoying. So now it's back with the F30.

My E90 opened fully on the single press. Not happy with the 90% 10% on the F30.
