Coding Problem - AC/HVAC Malfunction
Hey guys,
Anyone seen an issue where after coding the HVAC system is always off every time you start the car, pops on as soon as you touch a button AND if you hit max A/C it shuts off the HVAC? Not sure if the coder messed something up, or if the HVAC unit itself has a problem. I think they are going to look at it later this week, but wanted to see if you guys had ever seen the issue. Thanks!

I will do some digging. The only coding that was supposed to be on the HVAC was for it to remember the AC switch setting.

Awesome. I forwarded that on to the coder to see what he says. Thanks!! If that explains my weird Max AC toggling the whole system that'd be interesting too!

I'm a controls engineer, so I really need to spend some time digging around on here to get the coding gear myself. I would have fun tinkering!

Everything i need regarding software access etc, is pretty well covered in threads here on the forum correct? I did light digging and just the Esys software location was the thing I haven't dug in to sufficiently.

The coding change you referenced above fixed it. Apparently it is something "new" in the last 4 months or so of production according the coder after he talked to some friends.
I have all my bits now for coding as well... be a few weeks before I can check things out though.

I think he screwed up/didn't know the coding fully and waived it off as that. Who knows. Car works perfectly now so I'm good. Cable showed up, downloaded software, just haven't had time to grab a key. Will do that soon.
I'm not 100% sure if I'm sold on the anti-dazzle headlights. I got flashed 3 times by oncoming traffic in an hour drive which makes me worry they are too bright. We'll see.
