Sport mode is probably my preferred mode but I always try and balance it out by using Eco-Pro. Comfort mode is probably okay but during rush hour when you really need to pull out QUICK, I rather have it in Sport to give me that extra ummth to pull out safely.

When I picked up my car, I asked if I needed to take it easy for the first 1000 miles, the salesman just told me there's no need but just not to go "Stupid". I still don't feel redlining it yet but maybe after a couple more weeks I'll give it a go!

Fuel here in the uk seems to be rising quicker that the sun in the mornings, so fuel MPG's are starting to matter to many, I am looking at the M5 I am looking at September time: god knows what the Petrol price will be then.

I think once you've accepted / budgeted for the rough difference between petrol and diesel rising prices affect both anyway. The next few years will dictate whether i go diesel or petrol next time.

My last car was the 118d eco-warrior which suppose to average 68mpg but I was only ever averaging 44-55mpg. I hardly do any motorway driving and my journeys mostly consist of short trips doing town driving with small parts of dual carriageways so I didn't see the worth for me to pay extra to buy a diesel car again.

I personally like the refinement of petrol engines and the extra rev range but I do like the low end torque of the diesels, very useful nipping in and out of town.

My Focus ST would have been the perfect solution had it not been for the 22-24mpg I consistently got. The 2.5 litre 5 cylinder turbo petrol engine was frankly amazing. Petrol refinement and free revving ability, diesel like torque and a fantastic exhaust note!

If I am getting 22/25MPG I want a V8 to get the real power feeling for the same MPG.

That's exactly what you'll get with an M5! If I had the £££, the M5 would be one of the cars on top of my list.

YEP no room, 4 seats needed at the moment.
If I needed only 2 seats a GTR may be looked at but on second thoughts Na.
