this really annoys me

Pricing up some PPF film for my freshly painted 430d

Get told that Xpel is more expensive than 3m and Suntek.

then get told its £800 cost of film for a 4 series so not much margin for a full days work for £50 labour.

then go on ebay and see i can buy the film for £33-£37 per meter sq!

I wish people would just say that its a highly skilled install and its lots of labour and time.

That's very annoying.

I find loose mouthed Greeks on car forums to be even more annoying TBH

Yes I would say it is a highly skilled job also many installers use Computer designed car templates for a perfect fit which you'd never achieve with a pair of scissors and a Stanley knife. My guy used 3m ventureshield in the past but now has a new type of film which is much improved and cost him a lot more then £37/sm. Very knowledgable and experienced guy worth to speak to him even just for advice 'tonyjamesdesign.com' he based in Bristol now not Solihull as it stated on the website

He did my 5 series.

If i can buy the stuff on ebay then it costs that much. Maybe plus 20% VAT.

No problem with install costing but gets me when people bullshit me.
