Oh wow, that sucks. I was actually just on BMS' website looking at a Stage 1 and JB4 and resisting the urge to buy it.
Is the dealer warrantying it?

Well sounds about right, N20 cracks at around 330 lb/ft of torque. It's has been stress tested by some company. I assume this is why BMW already replacing N20 with the new 4-cyl. turbo - B48 only after few 2 years of production. SAD.

This is why I have changed my mind on modding the engine. Until there is a real tune being a ecu reprogramme I am not touching it. These boxes aren't tunes they fool sensors and as such can not be 100% safe as some suggest. Especially when you start playing with different fuels the engine was never designed to use. Why should BMW give this guy warranty he broke the terms of the contract and shouldn't be entitled to squat. If you want to mod you have to be prepared to pay to play
