Can anyone reconfirm that the November changeover date is still happening for the US market? I'm getting ready to build a 335. Spoke with my local dealer this week, and they are insisting that the US will not get the new nav system until MY 2014. Apparently they are hearing this from BMW...

OK, so I have one CA telling me he can order for November *now* and I will get the new Nav, and I have another CA at a different dealership saying they have no information when the new Nav will be available. So, order with CA #1 and keep my fingers crossed for 4 months, or play it safe but wait potentially even longer to get my new F30?

Wow he must have a few build slots free then. If you ordered for a "new" build slot now, you'd be lucky to get this year

MY CA hasn't been able to find out any firm info on the matter. He is supposed to be in contact with the regional manager this week and says he will know more specifics. |

I didnt say till the year 2014 but till the next model year. I may be wrong but this was the info I got. At this moment, YES only the Active Hybdrid will be the 3 series getting the new Nav here but nothing else. Trust me, Canada is a bit weird. We get a lot of stuff later on...

Tested the new system in a F31 at my dealer last thursday...
Looks goood! SO fast and SO clean! The zoom function in map display is sooo smooth.. A little bummer for those who just got their cars, even tough the old one is nice too.. |

As I mentioned earlier ... Canada is 100% not getting new Nav for MY2013. You can tell me you heard otherwise, speak to CAs (who no nothing), etc. I correspond directly w/ the product managers at BMW Canada.

OP you'd have to check the build time at your time of ordering your sales advisor should be able to pin point it for you

I am going to be upset if I end up waiting an extra 2 months to order my car, only to find out the new Nav is not going to be starting production in November as anticipated. I wish we could get a more definitive answer! |

I just started a post in the tech/nav forum as well, but here's the gist. So I just got off the phone with my CA who informed me, after researching the issue, that the F30 335 will not have the iDrive upgrade until MY2014 and that it's only being phased in to the d's, ActiveHybrids and wagons. Now I'm not sure what to believe. What I do know is I'm due to order my next car NOW and, while I'd easily extend if the November date was a sure and confirmed thing, I'm not sure I want to wait and extend my lease if it may all just be rumor. This is a Colorado Center of Excellence dealership, fwiw. |

Let's say Jason's right: Why does BMW withhold information from their dealers when people who want to buy are holding back specifically because of a lack of information? I would have ordered a 335 during the summer but waited because I saw the announcement here re: the change in November. The PR on this is nuts guys... |
