2015 Build Schedule???
I was at the dealership yesterday and ordered a 2015 328i with the M sport package. I was so stoked and excited as I finally pulled the trigger. When I got home, I noticed that the gentleman helping me had put in the order for a 153O model (SULEV/N26 Engine) I did not want the car with the SULEV. I called him back immediately and told him I wanted the same car except I wanted the 153N (ULEV/N20 Engine). He responded by telling me that all 2015 in production are SULEV/N26 and that the N20s will not start production until October. This translates to me not getting my car until the end of the year if his statement is in fact true. Do any of you know about this or have any information regarding BMW manufacturing only 2015 SULEV/N26 for now and won't start the N20 builds until October of this year?
Please help as I am scheduled to meet with the dealer today to make a final decision. |

I couldn't see myself waiting until December to get my car so I ordered the SULEV. The BMW specialist made me feel a bit better about it. Thanks for the reassurance Kevin. I can't wait to drive it around town and of course in the middle of no where (away from cops)

Other subtle changes...
I poked around a '15 328xi (N20) at the dealer and observed a few other differences. This was a fresh Regensburg build that got off the boat less than 10 days ago.
Plastic cover for electrical connectors This is on the front driver's side strut mount, inside the engine bay. It's secured to a bracket underneath by one torx screw. I dont think it can be retrofitted since 14's dont have the hole for this screw. Alignment marks on coolant expansion tank cap Different combox Not sure about PNs, but this one lacks the silver heatsink/fins that I'm used to seeing Lack of screws for triangle A lot of '14 builds used torx fillster screws (07147225732) with an expanding nut (51717154520) to secure the trunk lid trim where the warning triangle brackets would normally be. IMO, this made it easier to retrofit the triangle. Now on '15 builds, BMW reverted back to using expanding rivets, only this time they are not phillips heads (difficult removal). Pic of what '14s look like below. X-Drive only: Corrosion protection on front axle drive shaft On my '14 and other loaners, this area had a galvanized/matte texture when new and quickly formed a layer of rust (photo below). Now, the same part has a finished, glossy look and makes me think BMW decided to give some beefier corrosion protection on this part.

Hoping to order a 320i or 328i this week. This will be my first euro delivery. I see the discount on the base MSRP (approx 6.8%) for the euro delivery. For negotiating purposes, is there also a euro delivery discount on the Lines, Packages, and options?
Thanks, Cory |

Euro vs Dollar
With the recent drop in Euro value, do you guys think BMW will adjust vehicle pricing for the rest of the year or just take in the extra profit? I'm thinking about trading my E92 in for a new car 3er or X4.
