I realize this, the last 15 years of driving were all in RWD cars (exception being my fiance's E90 328i xdrive). This is the first AWD car I have tracked so I was expecting to be plowing into all of the corners which didn't happen. But I agree RWD is more fun.

If so, it's only the inner lens that lights, and this switches between low and high beam. The corono rings ("halos") are also on, and can be on as "daytime running lights" on their own, during the day, as well. In the US the outer lens used to be the "cornering light", and would come on e.g. when going round a corner; but with the "Adaptive Headlights" option in the UK now, it's the foglights that do this, so the outer lens (the inside of it) is completely unused If you have halogens: no idea. Lol

The high beams and low beams come from the same light source. When you select high beams the light readjust themselves to illuminate further down the road. Works nice and is almost instantaneous.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this but the cup holder cover stores in the netting in the glove box.

there are only two bulbs in your car (one for each side) for your headlights and a mini mirror inside your projectors (also called a solenoid) that controls where your light shines. When youre using your headlights only the mini mirror is not engaged so you get all your light shinning the road ahead of you. When you flick your high beams the mini mirror angles itself up and redirects some light to shoot upwards so you now have high beams. your daytime running lights are the angel eyes which are powered by a LED all on its own. you can control it at all its always on. |

If anything adaptive m makes MORE sense as an option on an xDrive, since you can't get an xDrive with the standard 704 sport suspension. |

I tried searching this thread to see if it was mentioned, but something dawned on me the other morning while adjusting the temperature. Why is there a need to display the set temperature to one decimal place? (i.e. 70.0, 71.0, etc.) Maybe someone can explain this to me other than the fact of satisfaction know that it is exactly 70.0 F degrees as opposed to not knowing if it may be 70.3 or something else. I'm an engineer and love precision but come on.

i hate how theres no longer an "ALL" button for climate control so you cant lock both temperatures together anymore. when my girlfriend sits in it she has it set to max heat all the time and then i have to manually adjust it or ill be getting heat waves from the passenger side
