4GC looks nicer than coupe. Why is there not going to be a M4GC?

I prefere the 3er, it has a sportier look and a better back.

Even the Coupe looks better to me...

I think it looks better than the 3 series. Will probably be competing for the same customers. Could see bmw morphing toward one "3" series model again, depending on which one of these sell better.

Coupe looks better than the Gran "Coupe".

Real coupes do not have 4 doors.

Ok so this confirms that this is a $2600 premium to have straight rear door lines, annoying frameless windows, and 1 less seat than the 3 series, and less headroom.

It has 3 seats in the rear, also it's smaller than a $2600 delta as you will find differences in equipment, likely the upgraded lighting will be standard which is $900 on the 328's, standard on the 335's.

Can't have it both ways.

A) Car should be more different, you know like the 6GC vs the 5, you know the cars that have a $25k delta between them

B) Cars look too similar, but have about a $2500 delta from 3 to 4 GC

So no one was going to get truly unique looks without paying a hell of a lot more than $2600 for it. Using the 5-6GC model is a terrible plan when applied to the 3-4GC.

It's a bit of bot F30 3 series sedan and F32 4 series coupe if you look at the measurements.

Respectively: F30 vs. F32 vs. F36

And, as far as I can tell, the 4GC includes sports suspension standard, where on the 3 one needs to spend extra on Sport or M Sport lines to get such. (No idea if it's the same 704 suspension - I'm basing the above on the description of the 4GC Sport Line, which makes no mention of any suspension changes. Also, the 4GC M Sport Line now includes M Performance suspension, a step up from the 704 M Sport suspension, that's not available on the 3 from the factory.)

I think the F30 has a more pronounced, masculine sharper look.

While the F36 is more of the curvier sportback of it. If only it was more like the 6GC

All comes down to personal taste.

IMO, the F30 looks more together and of course has the iconic 3er look that we've all come to be famillar with.

For all the hating on why this car exists they frigging nailed it! The lines are so much sleeker than the 3 series. Win.

What I don't see mentioned at all, but what I just learned after driving a 535i GT as a loaner for over a week, is that the rear visibility in using a hatch design vs. a trunk is very poor. In some of the comparison pictures of the 4GC, you can see the difference in rearward visibility. Very large C pillars with a smaller back glass area. I was strongly suggesting to the wife that this would be her next car, but now not so much.

4GC looks better than f30 in every single angle. This is coming from an f30 owner by the way.

I doubt us cars will come with anything higher than 704 or DHP.

I love the idea of sports seats in more colors than the F30 offers.
