They all great looking cars; I guess GC really meant for a guy like me that want the best of both worlds as I have a kid.

Exactly right.

Those who judged the GC so harshly months ago either a) have not seen one in person next to an F30 or b) don't have kids.

I've lusted for a BMW Coupe for 17 years but couldn't live with 2 doors with all the soccer and baseball and carpools. The Gran Coupe is the Coupe for dad.

I'll second that!! The only thing I still lament over is the lack of a proper 6-speed

You've never been in a 6GC or a 7. First the 6GC is sized the same as the 5. Second, the SWB 7 has something like 3 more inches of rear legroom than the 6GC, while the long wheelbase has 9 more. Thats a huge sacrifice. Hell, the 3GT has more rear seat space than the 5, 6 and SWB 7 (and of course the 3, 4 and 4GC).

Respectively: F30 vs. F32 vs. F36

Do you have higher-res versions of these? I am trying to compare all the dimensions (interior particularly), but the numbers don't display well.

Or people who love the Coupe look but have other practical considerations (going out with friends, transporting bicycles and other larger items, park in tighter spots, etc.)
