Which is the best way to remove the cupholders? I need to run a cable from the USB in the armrest to inside the cupholders. Any advice?

I've just inherited the Mrs old iphone 6s which will stay in the car as a spotify device, and maybe use a wifi ODB connector to occasionally use it as a gauge. Unfortunately you have to press the button on the phone to get Spotify to connect to the car, so i've made a holder for it which sits in the cupholders. Now i just need to route the cable.

I fitted the LCI instrument panel and coded it the other week too, which is nice

Wow looks nice! Not scared people will smash your window to take the phone?

I am not sure if the cupholders are part of the centre console (as in, if you can take them out).. otherwise you can easily pull the trim which holds your idrive controller (don’t pull it to hard/far as you don’t want to damage the wiring to your idrive).. otherwise maybe remove the leather around the gear. Not sure about the F30 but previously this was also a ‘pull’ job.

But depending how far you want to go the whole center console can be taken out as well

If it is somewhere like the works car park it will fine left in, if i leave it somewhere dodgy, i'll cover it with a glove or something. If i go somewhere really dodgy, i'll take it out.
