Call me crazy, but the chrome grill surrounds give the car a defining face. I'm sure that was the objective of the F30 designer. That distinctive BMW face disappears when the grills are all-black on a dark coloured car. Clearly, some folks view this change positively !

I wouldn't change anything style-wise with the Sportline - I believe the designer did a brilliant job ! And those 397 wheels are one of BMW's best ever wheel designs- even better looking IMO than either of the M Sport package wheels.

I sort of agree, but photos may not really do them justice. I need to see some in person. Thanks to OP for posting pics though!

And yeah the 397s are definitely one of BMW's nicer wheels, just wish they were staggered.

About 10-15 minutes. Just uscrew the top of the bumper and it pulls back a little so you can get your hand back there.

I agree somewhat. It took me a while to make up my mind if I should do it or not. I really love the way the chrome grills flowed with the headlights. But pictures dont do it any justice at all, especially crappy i phone pics. It looks a lot more agressive now, and the grills are gloss so it still pops out a bit.

I think youre spot on though, it looks better on lighter color cars, like white and silver. But when you see it in person you may change your mind

And yes I tip my hat to the designer of the f30 he did an outstanding job IMO.

Love the black grills on your Black Sport Line. Had the same look on my Altima SE-R. Embrace the dark side!

I just counted 10 bumps under the grill on your front bumper? Never seen that one before, whats the cause?

I really like the M Performance Grills and have them installed on my 335i. I also ordered the painted reflectors as it will give the car a great flowing colour.

However I don't feel I should plasti dip the silver 'whiskers' close to the fog lights...just me but that's how I feel...it gives the car a great contrast...

I agree, that's why my black 328i will keep its grills.

OP:

Your car does look very nice, though. What percent tint are you running? It looks sleek without being "murdered out"

I'm guessing the next mod will be painted reflectors
