Not really sure on Adaptive M, but have to imagine it sits about the same as regular M-Sport suspension. I don't think Adaptive M changes ride height - it only adjusts electronic dampers to control stiffness.

Not having tested an Adaptive M I can't speak to comfort, but can say that M Performance is not as "comfortable" as the M-Sport. It's a matter of personal preference. If you want the sports car feeling, get the M performance suspension.

I've got lots of rubber....

I've driven the car with 397's + the P7 all seasons (super smooth).
Currently driving the 397's with Blizzak LM60's (knobby, but tolerable).

Will be mounting the 400 M Sport Tire/Rim package this Spring (S001's I think) so unsure what those will feel like.

My roads in CT suck, so didn't want to go beyond 18 inches.

PS, just got her back with the CF Spoiler...SEX!!

Stupid question : Is black front grille standard in US ? Or is it an accessory as in France ? I see that all US F30 have one...

Amazing with the M Performance parts. Can you say that the car height looks lower for sure compared to the msport suspension? Like with just a glance by you noticed it lower.

Where did you get the diffuser from, and how much? I am located in Berkeley.

Congratulations on a very clean, very elegant looking F30 335i. It's by far one of the best "modification" jobs I've seen on this site, and, in fact, in general.

Given the "clean" look that you've gone for, I would make the following small suggestion: get rid of the "335i" and the sticker on the back. It completely kills the aesthetic balance from the rear, and model designation badges are just a tad blasé for someone with otherwise good taste!

I would also point out that the drop is perfect; anything more and it would look "broken", like so many of the other terrible hatchet jobs out there. "Slammed" cars, if you will, make you look like a yob - what you've done, on the other hand, makes it look like a gentleman's sporting saloon. Very well done.

All M-Sport come with chrome with black slats. All you have seen were replaced by M Performance grills or after-market.

Definitely looks lower to me, but that could also be the front splitter which lowers the front by as much as 3". Measurements follow what is advertised - car is lower by 1/2" all around.

That is the M performance diffuser. Got it from Peter Pan BMW in Burlingame. They price matched getbmwparts.com pricing. I had the outer part painted to match.

Thanks - never been a big fan of slammed cars. I swapped suspension to get the sports feel to the car. Even MSport suspension felt to soft - to much body roll. Car is definitely alive now. Already removed sticker which I hated from day one - mainly because dealer installs it on all their cars and refuses to remove them. I will think about removing the "335i". Not a fan of chrome so that might be what convinces me.

Keep an eye out for updated photos I plan on taking in the next few weeks.

I had a bad experience with the smoked reflector covers from Bimmian. Ordered them, put them on as per the instructions, and LOST THEM ON THE HIGHWAY!!! I suppose some wind got under them, and they just flew off the car. Not happy. So, instead, I went with the painted reflectors from **********s.com. The finish is flawless, the paint match is great, the packaging was amazing (they come wrapped in microfiber cloth to prevent scratches in transit), and they are exactly the same pieces that come with the car from the factory. Very impressed with them, and they are definitely worth the price. Check out any of my pictures; I have a few on the forum with the painted reflectors installed so you can get an idea of how they'll look on your car. Hope this helps!

Thanks - i also ordered the smoked reflectors along with the key hole cover and CF mirror covers from Bimmian. I am really disappointed with the quality of the products they sell. Key hole cover doesn't match my paint, CF covers have an uneven weave. I have sent them two requests for RMA and they have yet to get back to me. Thanks for the heads up on the reflectors. Sounds like i will be sending those back as well. Will check out your pics.

Paid $1649 for parts including required springs + 7 hrs in labor @ $153/hr after a 15% discount. Dealer wanted me to pay $180/hr. Labor in SF, CA is ridiculously expensive.

Update on feel: Still very happy that I made the switch and after a couple hundred miles the suspension has gotten a bit softer, but that could just be that I am getting used to how stiff it is. I still warn those that are not used to stiff rides to look elsewhere or keep the stock suspension. If you add the front splitter, you will also need to be very careful up driveways and over speed bumps and definitely watch the curbs as you park. You can definately cause some damage.

would you say the change was more of a "oh yeah, this is what it should be" or a "oh wow, it's stiff!"? to me there's a slight difference in those 2 sentiments, and it's the best way for me to know if it's right or not other than driving your car! ha ha.

At first it was more like the "oh wow, it's stiff!". I attribute that mostly to the springs needing a bit to settle in and the fact that I was forced to spend almost two weeks in a 328i base while my car was being worked on. Now it is definitely more like "oh yeah...". Esp. when you push the car around a corner or take some tight twisties.

The stock M Sport suspension is much better than base, but it still made the car feel numb. With M Performance, you can feel every bit of what the car is doing and more importantly, what it is not. Next to no body roll, no diving or squatting. The car just feels like it is glued to the road.

Front Splitter with ClearBra???

Hi All - got car back from getting ClearBra. Not sure how I feel about the front splitter with ClearBra. Makes it look glossy black as opposed to the matte black which blends better with the MGrey. What do you guys think? Leave it or take it off? It does match the grill so I'm torn.

See page 2 of this post for pics without ClearBra.

BTW - if weather gets better, will be giving her a full detail this weekend and hopefully a better photo shoot.

Have about 400 miles on now and have to admit that the sports car feel is still there. I'm definitely getting used to it, but the proof is when passengers ride in the back seat. It is not a comfy ride back there, especially over speed bumps. Maybe with 18" wheels, it wouldn't be so rough. For me, it's well worth giving up a bit of comfort for the much improved response and handling.

I like it with the clear-bra, plus it protects the car. Beautiful car.

How much was the rear aero diffuser? I couldn't find that listed on getbmwparts.com or even on BMW's site. Didn't know it existed until seeing this thread actually.
