435ix owner drives a 335ix w PPK

So I have a 435ix stock. I was thinking about getting the PPK for mine

I had the pleasure of being able to drive a 2013 335ix w PPK

Car was warmed up and I must say, his car felt on par with mine. It didn't feel faster than my 435ix. This is of course butt dyno.

Question is:
Is the 435 just as fast as a 335 w PPK
or
that the PPK does not make that dramatic of a difference.

435ix and 335ix (both stock) should be identical....in fact, the 435 is slightly heavier. So....the PPK 335 is most likely faster than the stock 435....even if it didn't feel like it.

LOL a stock 335 is slightly quicker than stock 435 in the xi platform...ppk should add a nice little 9% boost in power, not sure why you couldn't feel it.

Maybe he has a boost leak somewhere, only way to tell is to get it on the dyno

According to bmw 435ix does 0-60 in 4.7 and 335ix 4.8
So pretty on par with each other

You must have gotten the super secret PPK installation!

Realistically, it's very difficult to notice 20hp gains.

Also if you used an empty or guest profile on the car, sometimes it takes up to a week of driving with PPK to get its full effect. The car has to learn driving habits.

This just means <insert Jeremy Clarkson's voice> it's time for a RACE

Isn't the 4 about 100-200 lbs lighter?

Ppk makes a day and night difference for my 435xi. Throttle response is improved dramatically in all modes, especially in sport mode. The car is fun to drive now, almost scary sometimes under WOT in sport mode. At around 5500 rpm, it's still strongly surging forward instead of flatting out like it would before the ppk. I can hear the turbo spools more clearly after let go of the gas at high rpm. The exhaust burbles are more noticeable now. I've had it for only 2 weeks and 80 miles. It will get better too after the ecu fully adapts. I can't really answer your question since I've never driven a 335 with ppk yet, but my observations should aid you in making your decision toward the ppk.

P/s: there is no way you couldn't feel the 35hp added to your car.

Great observations, I've made up my mind, getting it after my 4 gets delivered. I ordered the MPE today because I'm impatient and want a toy even though I can't play with it yet.

Haha. Congrats. You will not regret it. Mpe is a nice little addition too. Stock exhaust is way too quiet.

do you gain 35HP on the 2013 F30 or is it only on the 2014+ that you gain 35HP with PPK? Some feed back would be appreciated before I get it installed on my 335xi

Yeah, that is funny. But my car in Sport + mode isn't appreciably slower than my E92 M3 DCT was - at least up to 80 mph or so. And it is scary quick "out of the hole", up to about 30 mph.

Since you're so close from stock, should be a fair matchup (read not sure the MPPK stands a chance).

The 2014s have a 1/2 inch bigger OEM downpipe and that allows for the 15 extra bhp.

I bet it's quite the monstrous beast. Can't imagine the cohones needed to tame such an animal. Must give you chills even thinking about it.

2014 MPPK performance improvement is ABSOLUTELY remarkable!
My car, on the same condition (climate, highway, etc), gained 2" on the 100/200kmh acceleration
