Road and Track's intro to this video:
When a Fully Loaded 3-Series Is as Good as an M3 "What do you do when you don't want to wait for a year while paying over sticker price for a BMW M2, don't feel like spending a whole lot more on an M3, but still want to go fast in a car that's also comfortable as a daily driver? You get the best 3 Series in a nice color with the M Pack. The 340i starts at $47,900, and for that, you get BMW's new B58 six-cylinder, which is part of their modular engine family, featuring a bigger turbo and an air-to-water intercooler as well as higher compression and more power and torque all across the rev range. BMW claims it produces 320 horsepower, but put one on a dyno, and it might just produce the same figure at the wheels. Add the adaptive suspension that comes with the M Pack, and coupled with the super smooth 8-speed ZF automatic, you have one hell of a fast family sedan. And just in case you wish to get more involved, a six-speed manual is a no charge option with the 340i." http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cult...340i-one-take/ |

If that's your car, it looks great! Love the black grill as well. Great video.
Of course I agreed with everything that was said and enjoy driving 120-140 mph to and from work everyday here on the autobahn! Of note, this car continues to pull even at 140-150, like it WANTS to keep going. Amazing.

I think it's notable that all the praises in the video (and in this thread) are about numbers, speed, acceleration and comfort with not a single mention of handling, driving dynamics, connectedness and the sheer pleasure of driving.

Great video! Matt seems really at ease and it like watching 2 car guys on a drive. Listening to the owner, I know how I sound now. I am a 340 geek.
